Apricot Cream Cheese Thumbprints

Like some of the reviewers said, these cookies are rather bland and more like shortbread texture. It made a huge batch of large size cookies. My daughter said she would like the cookies if they had more filling. The recipe itself is good. It is just not pleasing my taste.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Definitely need to cut the hot sauce. Way too hot and a little bit on the salty side. Next time I will use less hot sauce and see how it turns out. Overall it is worth to try this recipe.

Easy Platz (Coffee Cake)

The recipe was very simple and easy to follow. I used more fresh blackberries, and it turned out OK. The cake was a little bit too sweet for me, so I will cut the sugar in the cake next time. The crumb topping compensated the tartness of the blackberries. The cake definitely was not done in 30 minutes. Mine took almost 60 minutes to bake. Overall it was a delicious coffee cake.

Ten Minute Szechuan Chicken

Overall, this is a good recipe. I made some changes to this recipe to suit my taste. Reduce the amount of soysauce to 2 TSP, and add 1/2 TSP directly to the meat. Add 1 more tsp of sugar to balance the flavor. Add a dash of five spice powder or ginger to give it authenticity. I tried the recipe with beef, and it turned out good. This is definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Libby's® Pumpkin Cranberry Bread

This recipe made moist loaves. I reduced the sugar to 2 cups of white sugar, and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. To cut the fat, I substituted 1 cup oil with 1/2 cup apple sauce + 1/2 cup oil. I didn't have pumpkin pie spice, so I used ginger, nutmet, and cinnamon. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Mongolian Beef II
