Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
A little bit too sweet, I'd cut back on the sugar next time. Mine stuck to the pan big time, so theres some tweaking needed too. Mine got all runny so I think I needed to let the jello set more before pouring it over the cream cheese mixture. All in all, it was still delish!

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
As far as pork chops go, these were very good! Its hard to get pork chops tender, these were fairly tender considering they were baked on such a high heat. These had a real nice aroma baking and looked so good out of the oven, very crunchy. I tried this recipe on chicken and it wasnt as good. Definitely a keeper if you are a fan of chops!

Baked Lemon-Basil Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
This recipe was good but the lemon flavor overpowered it. I may have added too much-I didnt have a zester so I used a grater. Mistake! It was really delicious nonetheless. I would at least double or triple the chicken and same with the spinach. Also would mix it up before the last 10 or so minutes. Yum!

Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
I was totally surprised at how tender this chicken was! I marinated it for about 4 hrs in the buttermilk and added cayenne pepper and poultry seasoning to the flour mixture. Turned out very flavorful and very tender! Also, I just cooked it on med heat until it was done, didnt cover and reduce heat for 45 minutes as I wanted the chicken to stay crispy. The gravy was so easy to do too.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
This was really good, and I followed most of the reccomendations made my other reviewers. I will say to definitely increase the meat, as I had a lot of left over gravy. With 1 lb of meat, we only got 2 servings out of it. But it was tasty and easy!

Zucchini Yogurt Multigrain Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
I went to the grocery and bought some zucchini planning to make these muffins. When I got home, however, I realized I really didnt have everything I needed. So I didnt use any honey or nutmeg. I used applesauce in place of the oil and the consistency was really nice. I used vanilla yogurt instead of plain and hoped the muffins would be sweet enough. They weren't. I tossed out the first batch and added more sugar to the second, which were better. Oh, I also didnt want to use carrots so I didnt. I'll definitely make this one again but stick closer to the recipe. I was surprised when my 18 month old ate them (like I said, they werent really that sweet) and he kept asking for more, more, more. I also have not worked with zucchini before and wasnt sure whether to peel it or use the skin. I did half and half for not knowing. Can anyone else comment on whether they peeled the zucchini? Thanks!

Best Ever Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
I followed the recipe to a "T" and made 12 nice sized muffins. This is definitely a sweet muffin and I could tell some of my guests would prefered a more cornbread type muffin. But I like a sweet corn muffin and this is as good as any I've ever had!

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
I followed the directions exactly and it made 2 hand-tossed style pizzas. I think next time I will divide it into 3 or 4 and make thin crust pizzas instead. Next time, I might try doing whole wheat or adding some herbs for extra flavor. Overall, it was pretty yummy and easy to make.

Awesome chili recipe! I like lots of beans so I doubled what the recipe called for and it could have used even more! Froze well also.

Easy Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
I made 2 batches, one with devils food cake and one with spice cake. I omitted all the other ingredients except the pumpkin and cake mix but added an egg white and a little bit of milk. The spice cake ones are awesome! Would be good as a bread instead of muffin with a little butter. Added choc chips to the devils food and they are really sinful and moist. Definitely WAY better than I expected. I am not sure how it would taste with yellow cake, but I highly reccomend the spice cake!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
I have made these muffins twice now in the past week and they are a big hit in my house. I diced the fresh blueberries, afraid that my husband might try to pick around any big peices and it turned out just fine doing so. One thing I will reccomend is not to melt the butter for the topping. I made the mistake of doing that the 2nd batch and the muffins 'feel' and the crumb topping seeped into the muffin and made it just seem syrupy. The butter will be just fine if you mash it with a fork. You want to topping to be more of a dry consistency. Enjoy!!!

Krissy's Easy Chocolate Triple Layer Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
This pie was good, and the presentation really looked like I put hours into it. Next time I would cut back on the cool whip- it overpowered the pie. This is a great dessert for any occasion.

Awesome Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2005
Because of some bad reviews, I was hesitant to try this recipe. But it was awesome! I modified it according to what I already had in the pantry. I used cream of mushroom soup, and omitted the onions and corn. I would make sure the broccoli you use is fully defrosted. I also added more cheese to the mixture and would reccomend not adding more to the top once its cooked b/c it does form a barrier and all comes off at once when you serve. This was a very very good recipe and I was able to use all lowfat ingredients. Hey- if thats how I can get my husband to eat vegetables, then thats what I'll do. 5 stars!

Angel Hair with Feta and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2005
This recipe was ok. I expected it to be to-die-for considering all of the fantastic ingredients. It came out a little too olive-oil tasting, I might use half butter next time. I also didnt have cilantro, not sure how much that alters the taste. I served this with grilled chicken as a side and I would probably make it again as something different.

Pasta With Chicken and Roasted Pepper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2005
I made this recipe using a homemade alfredo sauce (instead of jar). It was less rich and a nice change to your typical fettucini alfredo. I also seared a chicken breast in a wrought iron skillet instead of using 'ready to eat' type strips. It was still very easy to make and the red pepper taste was good. I will agree, though, that the recipe was still slightly bland. Needs some type of kick, but I'm not sure what.

Chicken and Cheese Crescents

This recipe was too RICH and had too odd of a taste in it for my liking. Would have preferred it with either the soup and no cheese or vice versa. Will definitely not be making this one again.

Easier Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2004
This was a good recipe, but would have preferred a richer taste and thicker sauce. Will probably still make it again but try to vary the recipe.
