Herman Sourdough Starter

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
tried it a couple of times and like it a lot! the starter gives my bread pleasant smell and my pancake interesting texture. but since i don't have much time to bake, I discard the previous starter for several time...just learned that i don't need to follow the instruction strictly.. wish i know this earlier...

good recipe, used for several times. half the vinegar and oil works well too!

10 Minute Zesty Salsa

Reviewed: May 22, 2012
made it once, very fresh and tangy. i don't have tomato and green chilies, so i used fresh tomato and some chili powder. not sure if that can be an substitute, but the result was good!

Vegan Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
i made it twice. don't have vegetable soup either time. the first time i used chicken broth (sorry vegans...), and mistakenly added cannaya pepper as chili powder, but the result was great. so i made it a second time, used water as substitute and correctly add chili powder. to tell the truth, the result of the first time was way better. 2 tsp cannaya pepper could be too hot, but i love it.

Favorite Black Walnut Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
it is not as i imaged but the result is a pretty good cookie. i like crispy cookies so i baked them a little longer. at the beginning i tasted the baking soda, but soon it is gone. next time i may skip the baking soda, because beat the butter and sugar can create air in the cookies too.
