Stir Fry Tomato and Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This is a breakfast staple in the Philippines, especially with the ilokanos. My family had their own way of cooking it. We add salt to the eggs, saute'ed the tomatoes in oil first, let it get a little soft, then add beaten eggs & green onion. you may also add a few drops of soy sauce before adding the eggs. asian comfort food!

Apple Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
delicious! DH and my little ones loved it. I was out of buttermilk so i used whole milk and it turned out fine. i also added a little bit of pumkin pie spice to the batter. I feel there is too much apples in the mix, next time i will add a little less. thanks for the great recipe!!!!

Triple Dipped Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!! I have a very similar recipe but i've never tried triple dipping. anyway, we had this tonight and the whole family loved it! i used chicken breast for DH and kids. For myself, i used drumsticks, thighs, and wings(yes, for a little asian, i probably do eat more than a person who weighs 300 lbs). Dark meats are awesome! so much tastier! i did a little adjustment to the recipe. i doubled(well, almost) all the spices except for the salt/ garlic salt. i also added about a tablespoon of chili powder. SPICY....yummmmmmm!!! im heading to georgia in a few hours and i had already prepared the mix to share with the in-laws....just add water and egg yolk!! thanks for the recipe

Peanut Butter Brownies I

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
i baked this for a group of soldiers who i always use as "guinea pigs"(lol) for my cooking(yes they taste it before i do) and they LOVED it!!! they were "bummed" that i didnt make enough for seconds! theyre requesting more for next week! darn it, i should've had some. i took out about 3 teaspoon of flour and substitute it with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. i also omitted the peanuts and added about half a cup of milk chocolate chips. thanks for the recipe!

Garlic Chicken Fragrant Rice On a Budget

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
Oh, i love it!!brings back childhood memories. this is an authentic Filipino dish called Arroz Caldo, but usually cooked with a little more liquid...similar to Risotto. You may substitute water, olive oil, and bouillon with chicken stock. you may add salt and pepper. dont know what to do with chicken??? cut into thin strips and saute, or boil and shred...then mix in with the rest of the ingredients. **i would not recommend using chicken breast as it lacks a bit of chicken flavor and very dry meat**
