Basic Rye Bread

Used dark molasses and did not use caraway. Had nice light texture, good flavor, and nice crust. Served it with corned beef and cabbage and was a real hit. Will be making it again.

Portuguese Kale Soup

Delicious simple soup. I used some hot smoked Hungarian sausage in place of chorizo. I also cheated by using low sodium beef boullion in place of the beef bones. I used the canned beans also. I will definately make this again.

Potato Dumplings

DELICIOUS DUMPLINGS! I ADDED SOME PARSELY FOR COLOR. I DON'T OWN A POTATO RICER SO I USED A FINE GRATER AND IT WORKED WELL. TIP-DIP HANDS IN BOWL OF COLD WATER WHILE SHAPING THE DUMPLINGS AND THE DOUGH WON'T STICK TO HANDS. I WILL MAKE AGAIN FOR SURE.
