Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2014
I made these for Christmas. I did add a couple of tablespoons of sour cream. I made extra bacon and broke into pieces and put a piece on top with a sprinkle of cheese. I made deviled eggs a lot and I have to say these were the best I have ever made. I cooked the bacon in the oven on a rack to get just the right kind of crisp. So Good!!!!

Grilled Garlic Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
I have been making these for years....recently I added McCormick Barbaque seasoning....no extra calories, but lots of extra flavor for each layer. Vidalia onions are always the best.

Skillet Ham, Cabbage and Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
I tried this recipe because my husband can't eat traditional corned beef and cabbage. I subbed deli corned beef for the ham, and it came out great. Wonderful idea. I cut the potatoes in the food processor. I think next time I will add some shredded carrot to make it even more traditional. Thank you Priscilla

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
I made this for Thanksgiving, and it works out great. Flavor is really nice, and it's so moist. Not having it in the bird, makes the bird cook faster, and no worries about bacteria. Great idea.

Gooey Chip Bars

Simple recipe, very tasty. I swapped chocolate graham crackers for regular, swapped peanut butter chips for choc chips. I also doubled the recipe and made in a 9 X 13 pan lined with parchment. Huge hit with my co-workers.

Homemade Vanilla Extract

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
I have a batch in the making....been about 6 months. Plan on adding a 4oz bottle to my Xmas cookie packages. Tip...get your vanilla beans on Ebay. Just won 30 beans for ONE CENT. Yes shipping is $5.99, but it's coming from France. Any tips on the labels for the bottles or where anyone gets their bottles...had an issue on Ebay...won 25 for .99 and I think the seller did not quite like that. Finally got them, but what a hassle.

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
I made this today....excellent. I used chocolate graham crackers, and sugar free white chocolate pudding. I also used Cool Whip free. Makes it more diabetic friendly. I microwaved the Chocolate Fudge frosting for 30 seconds. Makes a very nice topping for the simple tasty dessert.

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
This is a great starter recipe, I used 2 1/2 cups mashed bananas and added 1 teaspoon vanilla. Cooking time at 350 degrees takes 1 hour 15 minutes because of extra bananas. I recommend letting stand about 15 minutes then wrap in foil and place in refrigerator. This will produce a very moist Banana Bread.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
We loved this recipe. I forgot the brown sugar in the sauce(hubby is diabetic), and I used diced tomatoes - fire roasted. I also added garlic powder to the rice water. These are fabulous. As there are only 2 of us, I ended up with 8 rolls. Definitely worth the work.

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2010
Fabulous recipe. The only change I made was using sugar instead of flour to dust the pan. I'm thinking next time a little lemon zest either with the dusting sugar or in the batter. This would be excellent to take to any function or for guests. Absolutely delicious!!!! Wish I could do more stars.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This is a really good recipe. I changed the poppy seeds to celery seeds, and only used 3 tbsp of sugar. My hubby only likes the sweet slaw, and he really loved this. I also used rice wine vinegar.
