Steak Tip Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
Followed recipe exactly with Ken's lite northern italian dressing, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce (reg) and separate garlic powder and pepper (about 1/2 tsp of each since I did not have garlic pepper blend), marinated 2 lbs sirloin steak tips overnight after pricking them with a fork, and the whole family loved them off the grill tonight served with rice pilaf and steamed broccoli. This one is a keeper - thanks for sharing!

Baked Bar-be-Que Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
This turned out delicious and moist and beats the more time consuming methods for "fix it and forget it" dinners! Made the Roasted New Red Potatoes to accompany and steamed fresh broccoli alongside for a weight watchers friendly dinner. Thanks for sharing - this will be a regular in this working Mom's rotation!

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
This was a hit with my family and the extra bonus was that I had all the ingredients on hand already!

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
Had to work with what I had on hand while snowed in here in CT but even with substitutions, my family loved this! Did not have tomato soup, canned chili or enchilada sauce so I browned ground beef with garlic and onion, seasoned with salt, pepper, cumin and a little oregano after draining fat. I added green chilies and refried beans to beef mix and then added 1 can of rotels because the mixture was a little stiff. Scooped mixture and cheddar jack into tortillas and placed rolled burritos in a 13x9. For lack of sauce ingredients, I ended up pouring a jar of medium picante over the whole pan, topping with more cheese and baking at 350 for about 20 min. Served as suggested with sour cream, lettuce and tomato and it was devoured. Will keep this one on rotation! Thanks Sydney...

Picante Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
I adapted this recipe slightly to suit what I had available and found it truly tasty with a tossed salad. I added boneless skinless chicken tenders (about 1.7 lbs) and 2 cans of Rotels tomatoes to my crock pot this morning and cooked all day on low. Followed the recipe exactly from there with great results!

Special Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This was a delicious surprise! It's not surprising that it tasted good as made, just that it still tasted good when I made it! I followed the directions exactly and even my picky son loved it, tender and pleasantly sauced. Served it with butternut squash, roasted yukon gold potatoes and green beans.

Buttertart Squares

Made this for work and got glowing reviews all around! I ommitted the raisins but included the coconut and was very pleased with the outcome. Even my non-coconut friends liked it :-) Thanks for the recipe Cheryl - it's a keeper!

Cappuccino Cookie Bar

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2002
This was quick and easy but the coffee flavor was too strong when I used 1/3 cup ground Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla. I would recommend more chocolate and less ground coffee. People at work loved it anyway!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2001
Tried this after I read all the reviews and just loved it! It was a hit with hubby, who loves this kind of soup at restaurants, and with my picky three year old. Served it with warm crescent rolls and it made a nice hot, hearty meal the day we picked out our christmas tree. I did omit some of the garlic and used more cheese (2 lb brick velveeta), as well as using half and half instead of milk.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2001
The results are in! I read everyone else's reviews and then decided to make the recipe using 7 Granny Smith's and adding about 2 tsp. of mixed cinnamon and sugar to the apples in the bowl before placing the lattice top. I also used a Pillsbury ready pie crust. This is one incredible pie!! My husband is on his second piece as I'm typing this and he is an apple pie afficionado! I'm thinking I will probably pitch all of my other Apple Pie recipes in favor of this beauty. It looks good, it tastes good and it took me less than and hour of prep time (I'm new at lattice work)- what could be better!
