Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2001
I made this recipe last Thanksgiving with some variations. I used apple cider for half of the liquid and omitted the apples. I also combined some dry cornbread cubes with the regular with added flavor and texture. It was delicious. This year I may omit the sausage to save on fat.

Tropical Salad with Pineapple Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2003
This salad is amazingly tasty. I really enjoyed the combination of flavors. If you enjoy sweet, savory, and crunchy with a variety of textures in your salad, definitely give this a try. Yum!

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2001
Yummy yummy! This chicken is tender and VERY flavorful! There was leftover breading as other reviewers had mentioned, but I sprinkled it on during the turning process and there wasn't too much wasted. I also used fresh parsley instead of dry. DELICIOUS!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2001
This is a very good one-course meal. We made some seasoning adjustments, which is to be expected with a spicy dish. We added more Cajun seasoning as well as salt. I also thickened the sauce just a bit. Overall, an excellent and easy recipe.

Pecan Pie Surprise Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2003
I was skeptical about these because of the cake mix, but they are delicious. I served these near Christmas, cut into triangles. Nice presentation. Very rich and tasty.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2001
This is a very impressive recipe. It presents beautifully on the plate and the flavors mingle well together. My husband was more than pleased. It even works if you don't have the pecans on hand. The slight crunchiness of the breading is great with the tenderness of the salmon. Give this one a try.

Asparagus Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2003
We really enjoyed this recipe. For a simpler version, bake the chicken directly in the prepared hollandaise sauce and top with asparagus.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2003
This is great cornbread! I cut the recipe in half for just me and my husband and I used fresh jalepeno instead of canned green chilies because I had it on hand. It was moist and flavorful. I served it with Black Bean Soup. Will definitely use again.

Delicious Turkey Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2001
We made this last Thanksgiving (with regular apple cider) and it is delicious! This Christmas, my husband is demanding that we have it again and not try any other glazes. During cooking, the cider flavor gets into the stuffing as well (if you stuff your turkey) and makes it even more delicious! Enjoy!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2004
This is good. I used italian sausage as a matter of preference. I also tossed in some cottage cheese to the ricotta mixture because I needed to use it. The "sauce" was my favorite part.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

This is delicious and just what I was looking for. I had had this salad in the past and was craving it. Turned out perfectly. Pretty salad or dessert... great for company, a picnic, or potluck!

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2001
My husband really likes these cookies. I didn't find the dough difficult to work with; I just put it in the freezer for 30 minutes before shaping. They are very rich, I could only eat one at a time. I used Rolos and was pleased with the result. Next time I may try different nuts, like cashews perhaps.

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2002
We love these cookies! I have a variety of cookie recipes, but my husband now only asks for these. The pecans really make the difference. Be sure not to overbake-- these are perfect and soft when you take them out right on time or even a little early. Wonderful!

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2001
This is a very good and healthy dish. My husband, who is traditionally a meat lover, really likes this recipe. The spinach cooks down quite a bit; next time I will probably add more and also some more mushrooms. It's very colorful and tasty. Other reviewers thought the feta to be too much, but it's really the main flavor of the dish. Highly recommend if you love feta cheese.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2001
This is a delicious recipe with Japanese flare. I used less peanut oil, but otherwise followed the recipe. Instead of grilling, since it's winter, I broiled the filets for about 8 minutes. They were delicious.

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2002
Made this for my husband's birthday. We had guests over and everyone raved, especially about the gravy. The flavor is great, not just boring old pot roast. This is a keeper.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2002
I made these for Christmas morning and they are perfect! Just the rich dough and sweetness I was looking for! The next time I will bake longer at a lower heat to make sure they cook all the way through the middle, but besides that they're fantastic!

Chicken Fiesta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2002
This is a very tasty salad and a great change from ordinary Taco Salad. It's also very flexible. I made a couple additions- avocado, cilantro, and mango. Also I found a jalepeno ranch dressing in the produce section at the store and put it on the side. Delicious! Don't forget the tortilla chips!
