Disappearing Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
Super yummy, sweet and rich! I followed the recipe exactly and couldn't even think of anything to change lol. Well, my son did say that they were 'salty' - so I might reduce the salt next time, or omit it completely - but truly - these were WONDERFUL! I baked them in an oversized muffin pan for large, individual servings - and they turned out sooooo pretty :o) A little vanilla ice cream on top never hurts either! Thanks for the recipe!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2010
This was my first time to ever make buttercream frosting (we generally make cream cheese for cupcakes) and I am so pleased with how this recipe came out (as were my husband and son - it's their new favorite). I followed the advice of many reviewers and used 1 cup shortening and 1 cup butter and it was perfect. I also did not have any clear vanilla on hand...but pure vanilla didn't seem to change the color - it was beautiful! Thanks so much for the recipe - it is definitely a keeper :o)

Four Cheese Margherita Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
Wonderful pizza! We make this with a pre-made crust and do add a thin layer of marinara sauce first. We generally add feta cheese that has been flavored with tomatoes and basil (pre-packaged that way) and it is great. Occasionally, we will add sliced red onions. You really can't go wrong with this recipe...and just customize when you want :o)

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2010
Super good and super simple cookies! Like many others - I added fresh lemon juice in place of the extract - along with the zest of a lemon. I think I added about a T of juice. The batter is very thick and sticky...to the point that I looked at the recipe to see if I had left anything out lol. That's just the way it is - and it results in a wonderful and moist cookie that looks gorgeous with the cracking and powdered sugar. Definitely do not overcook :o) Thanks for the recipe!

Sweetheart Cupcakes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
We made these for St. Patrick's Day and they were perfect! They were super easy to put together and turned out so cute (and fun) with the green icing. We topped with cream cheese frosting and couldn't be happier! Thanks for sharing the technique - I'm sure we will make these again and again :o)

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
These are amazingly easy and incredibly yummy and RICH! I made these for my husband and son who both love oreos. I personally do not care for oreos (at all)...so I really wasn't even planning on tasting. Well, after they went on and on about them - I decided to give one a try! I actually thought they were outta this world yummy. Granted, they are extremely rich and I can't imagine eating more than one - but WOW - the taste and texture were not what I expected and a very pleasant suprise. I did freeze the mixture before rolling in chocolate and it seemed to do the trick. I mixed chocolate almond bark with white chocolate chips and that made a WONDERFUL coating (again...very rich)!

Buttermilk Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
LOVE LOVE LOVE! We generally purchase a buttermilk pie each week from an amazing restaurant ($28 per pie) that we truly love...until we decided to try THIS recipe :o) I have already made two pies and they literally disappeared. The flavor and texture are right on. I do not add the entire tbs of lemon juice (but almost)...and I increase the vanilla by just a smidge...besides that - NO changes and you end up with total perfection! THANKS SO MUCH for the recipe :o)
