Soft Gingersnaps

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
AWESOME cookies! I made them for my corridor mates while in Sweden, and every nationality here approved. If you want softer cookies, make larger balls and bake for a shorter time. For crispier cookies, make the balls of dough smaller and bake them for a longer time.

After spending 2 weeks in France and coming back home, I was dying for some good French bread...this recipe is great! Thank you!

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
Very easy to make. I made it by hand, and was nont too tiresome. And it tasted wonderful, and had a nice texture.

Heavenly Chipped Chocolate and Hazelnut Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
LOVED this cheesecake! Not hard to make (first cheesecake I've made where it didn't crack!) The crust was hard to press into the bowl, possibly because I didn't grind up the hazelnuts and chocolate chips well enough. Overall, very rich and tasty!

Hershey's ® Kisses Birthday Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2002
This was very easy to make and very chocolaty. It didn't take long at all to mix up, and was very moist. The frosting is excellent, too.

Buche de Noel

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2001
The cake was REALLY good, but it was a liitle more difficult than I had intended. The cake didn't come off of the parchment paper very easier. Everything worked out fine, though, besides the parchment paper deal. Very good tasting cake, my french teacher and class loved it!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
I made the recipe without alterations and it turned out wonderfully. This was the first time I attempted lemon meringue, and I got lots of compliments on the pie. One issue I need to address is how to get the meringue to cling to the lemon layer better (they slid apart when cutting out slices of pie).

German Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2007
Perfect texture, very tasty. I used a cheaper, non-German chocolate to melt into it, and it still tastes wonderful!

Chocolate Orange Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
Very tasty truffles! A problem I had was gettimg the right consistency after chilling. They were a bit too runny when I tried to ball them, but after sittimng out covered on my counter for ~12 hours, they must have dried out a little and then were at the correct doughy texture.

Rich Italian Sausage and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
This soup was okay. It was a little thin, not as flavorful as it could be, but it was decent. I don't plan on making this again.

Spinach Pesto Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
Decent. The chicken needed more flavor. I think next time I'll let the chicken marinade in the pesto for a day and see if that helps.

Spicy Beans 'N' Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
I made the recipe as is, but added in some sausage as well. This recipe is pretty bland - it needs more seasoning....

Potato Salad With Bacon, Olives, and Radishes

I took this potato salad to a BBQ, and it was a hit! Not what I'm used to potato salad tasting like; it was different, but very tasty!

Homemade Wonderful Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
Very yummy! I used 1/2 wheat flour and 1/2 all-purpose flour, and used butter instead of margarine. Also, I didn't used the bread machne: just went through 2 rise periods for the dough to double in size, and baked at 350 for about 25-30 minutes.

Beat and Bake Orange Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
Awesome! Lovely orange flavor. I made 2 8-inch rounds, and used the orange buttercream in this recipe as the layer between the 2 cakes with some sliced strawberries. I then frosted with a regular white buttercream icing - yum yum!

Lemon Lover's Pound Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
This is very yummy! I tried a slice of lemon pound cake for the first time at Starbucks and was determined to create one myself. This recipe is a great start - great flavor, lightly moist cake. I think next time I make it, I may add more lemon juice & zest to make mine extra lemon-y, and more sour cream to make it more moist.

Quick Creamy Spinach and Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
Very colorful and has lots of great veggies in it, but I found this sauce to be very bland. My fiancé and I were adding a bunch of salt to our pasta to make it taste better.
