Italian Bread Baked on a Pizza Stone

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
I didn't use a bread maker. I just put all those ingredients in a bowl and mixed then kneaded for about 5-8 minutes. Then let it rise for almost an hour. Then pushed down and made two loaves and let 'em rise for 30 minutes. My family loved it. Me too.

Braided Egg Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
This bread looked beautiful and was fluffy and good....but I think I may add more salt or something. I wanted a bit of flavor and it didn't seem to have any.

Tarragon-Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
Didn't have barley. But I added some chopped up Chard that I had on hand, and it tasted pretty good nonetheless. Oh, I didn't add bell peppers either (don't really like 'em).

Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
I actually used a candle thermometer AND the 8 minute guide AND the cold water test for cooking the sugar mixture. Everything worked out perfectly. I brought it to a boil and turned it on medium since I was nervous about burning it. I kept using the cold water test before the 8 min time and before the thermometer showed the right heat "just in case" my sugar mixture was cooked enough before then. But everything came together perfectly at once: temp 230-ish degrees; cooking time 8 min buzzer, drop was softball-ish in cold water. My husband liked this recipe for the cinnamon flavor compared to the ones we got from a friend w/o it. I will definitely make this again. Thank you!
