Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Just finished making these and I don't know if they will make it to the party! SO good! One piece of advice. Once you add the walnuts to the syrup stir fast!

This was delicious. No changes needed! Although I did forget to add the salt and pepper... Update: Made this again tonight and it was just as good. I'm going to try this on flounder next.

Strawberry Pie II

I found this recipe after strawberry picking at the Sussex County Strawberry Farm so I just had to try it. I was really looking for a strawberry cheesecake so I basically built this pie on top of a no bake cheesecake. It's in the freezer chilling but I already tasted the topping and it is SO GOOD! I did cut back on the sugar a little bit and am glad I did.

Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole

This was good and my bf loved it. Since a lot of people said the potatoes didn't cook I just boiled them a little bit first and they came out just fine. Definitely need to peel them though. I didn't and I wish I had. Really easy to make too.

Antipasto Squares

I made this for a party yesterday and it was a huge hit. I had several requests for the recipe and compliments from everyone. The only change I made was mozzarella instead of swiss. Thanks. I'll be adding it to my "keeper" recipes for sure!

I made this for the second time last night and once again we ate it ALL! The only thing I did different was add a little cornstarch and water to the sauce to thicken it up a little more. We love it!

Chicken Scampi I

I loved this recipe. I didn't have time to marinate as long as recommended but it still had plenty of flavor after just about 2 hours. I used more garlic then called for (you can't use enough garlic in my house) It was a little too lemony so when I make it again I will cut back on the lemon juice a little.

Grandma Reid's Stuffing

I've never made my own stuffing so I was a little nervous. I forgot the seasonings at the end and had to unstuff and restuff my bird but it came out GREAT! I really liked it a lot!

Brandied Candied Sweet Potatoes

These had a different flavor and everyone loved it. Even my cousin who DOES NOT like sweet potatoes. Only thing i did different was to boil them until cooked before mixing them with the boiing brandy/brown sugar, etc. They turned out great!

Classic Spanish Sangria

This tasted great! I've never had Sangria but my "Sangria expert" guest said it was perfect. I doubled the recipe for a party of 12 and put it in a punch bowl and it made for a great presentation. Tasted very nice and looked good. Just make sure you stir it whenever you are walking by after mixing all the ingredients to dissolve all the sugar.
