My cooking tragedies
Many years ago: I was making home made spaghetti sauce - and thought a clove of garlic was a head of garlic. 2 of them went in there. The house spelled like garlic for quite a while - not that that's a bad thing. I was making tuna salad once and grabbed the bottle of dried oregano instead of parsley. When I ate it for lunch that day I was horrified - it was disgusting !

Cabbage and Smoked Sausage Soup
I make something very similar to this using chicken stock instead of the water and cubes. I also add paprika and crushed red pepper. This adds a bit of spice flavor and a bit of a kick that goes great with the smoked sausage.
