Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
I have never given a 1 star review, but this was horrific. Neither my husband nor myself could eat more than a bite. I have never made a soup with so much cooked cabbage, although I typically like cabbage in moderation. But this was just disgusting. The flavor was strangely sweet, and the texture like mush. I will never make anything even remotely resembling this again. AVOID unless you absolutely love masses of cooked cabbage.

Brownie Crackles

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly, and these did not turn out as expected. The dough tasted heavenly, but once they were baked they were pretty bland and too hard for my taste. If you like a soft, chewy cookie (similar to a brownie) this is not the recipe for you.

Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
This was very good, but not quite WOW. I used salsa instead of diced tomatoes because my family always likes it better. I also added shredded cheddar, extra chicken and black beans. Will probably make again, but will try to umph it up a bit. Thanks!

Easy Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
I tried these with Funfetti cake mix. They looked okay, and were soft, but the flavor just wasn't very good. They tasted somewhat like store bought cookie dough, which I never buy because the flavor is so lacking! Plus, these were not THAT much easier than authentic homemade cookies. Overall, I was disappointed, and I would have rather had cupcakes and saved the pound of butter for a better cookie. (And trust me, there are MANY on this site!)

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
YUMMY!!! Just made this last night and my husband and I were highly impressed. I left out the onion and diced tomatoes and added a bit extra spice, and the end result was delish. Quick, easy, and a much needed change of pace from the usual leftover turkey fare. Thanks for the post! I will definately be making this again.

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
Excellent cookie. I made JUST AS IS, with the idea that I could make again with modifcations after trying them. They were perfect. YES, cook them at 300, and YES, let them cool 20 minutes on the baking sheet. They were still chewy in the center days later, but crisp at the edges. LOVE!!!

Avocado Dip II

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
Very good recipe to start from! I also love avocado so I decreased the amount of sour cream and salsa to 1/4 cup each. I also decreased the cumin and salt to 1/4 tsp and used onion powder instead of garlic powder (just because that is what I had on hand.) Turned out delicious! This is definitely one of those go quick dips. I will make this again for sure!
