Sloppy Joe Spaghetti

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
I was intrigued by this recipe so had to give it a try. It was a nice change of pace from traditional spaghetti sauce. I did add a little extra sloppy joe sauce. I also sauteed the onion with the meat. I put everything other than the breadcrumbs and cheese in a slow cooker and added those just before serving. I do not like green peppers so I added mushrooms instead but that is just a personal preference. Next time I may try baking this in a casserole and top with Italian cheese. I liked the flavor that the sloppy joe sauce added and would consider adding some to a traditional spaghetti sauce sometime for a variation on this recipe.

Layered all in a slow cooker. Substituted yellow squash for bell pepper only because I don't like bell pepper. Used a few more tomatoes because hubby likes them. Served over pasta. Fabulous. Will make again!

Zucchini Raspberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
Have made these twice in one week. The fam loved them! Made as directed and don't see any reason to change anything. Chocolate and raspberries are a winning combination with the zucchini. Really different and a nice change from the usual zucchini bread. Use both a butter cream and cream cheese frosting and liked them both. Any topping would work well. They are good unfrosted, too!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
This is the best fish I have ever eaten! I rarely cook fish at home but this is a restaurant quality recipe and incredibly easy!. Even non-fish eaters will love it. I followed recipe exactly but added fresh garlic and paprika as other reviewers had mentioned. This one is a keeper!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
Very good recipe! Restaurant quality. Added more garlic and soaked noodles instead of boiling as recommended by other reviewers. Made the day before and refrigerated overnight. Great texture. Held together nicely. Use more sauce between layers as there will be a lot left over otherwise. I followed this advice from other reviewers and was glad I did. Highly recommend this recipe.
