About this Cook
I have a hard time dieting when there are so many delicious edibles out there in the world. I know there are millions of people out there who think that healthy foods are delicious, and I know that I am not one of those people. I will never enjoy asparagus, or grilled salmon. I love cheese, red meats, red sauces, white wines, buttery breads, and if I eat a salad, it will be smothered in BBQ ranch.
My favorite things to cook
Chocolate chip cookies during Christmas time. My final paper in one of my college classes was a ten page dissertation on my road to finding the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Also, I love lasagna to a level that even Garfield couldn't understand.
My cooking triumphs
I made an amazing lemon silk pie about two years ago, and nothing has tasted quite as good ever since.
My cooking tragedies
Haha! The Great Chocolate Cake Catastrophe of Christmas, 2009. I took on this incredibly complicated recipe for a 3 layer milk chocolate mint cake, with dark chocolate ganache, which chocolate ganache, and a white chocolate mint frosting. Both the dark and white chocolate ganaches remained the consistency of syrup, no matter what I tried, and the cake layers came out incredibly lopsided, so they all slid off each other when I tried to make it work. I started baking around 5pm. I finished at 1 in the morning, and the cake was left to rot in the compost heap.

Black Magic Cake
This cake was AMAZING. I was planning on frosting it with a cream cheese mocha frosting, but this cake was so moist and delicious, it didn't need anything. It was a huge hit at the BBQ I attended. The only problem I had was that I didn't make enough!
