About this Cook
Im still a high schooler (senior) going into the baking and pastry field after a long, hard decision!
My favorite things to cook
I absolutely love to cook anything italian. And i would bake anything at least once!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Im not too sure i have any of these yet!
My cooking triumphs
I make a special cake for all of my families birthdays, about 7x a year, and each time i make a different cake with different design and filling... they just keep getting better!!
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make granola once and instead of adding the sugar i added that amount of salt... i bet anyone could imagine how that turned out.

Aunt Mary's Chocolate Cake
I'm only giving this recipe 3 stars. It's not that it was bad at all. It had a pleasant taste to it. However, the batter was rather watery. I wanted to use this cake as a base to a black forest cake so I wanted layers, obviously. I only have springform pans because they are easiest to work with! Lets just say I had to place a big sheet of aluminum foil on my bottom rack ;) lol so beware!!! But like I said, it just came out of the oven and I nibbled what dripped off to tast with my own chocolate buttercream frosting and is DID taste delish. Oh, and under no circumstances was I able to use the spoiled milk. I had it all ready in my measuring cup and it went down the drain ;) I used regular no fat milk. Which very well could have been my problem, but I did add an extra 1/3 cup of flour before placing in prepared pans. Hmm... now I'm not sure what it is! Oh well, I will make this again but I willll be making a few moree changes!! =)

Deep Chocolate Raspberry Cake
I'm only giving this recipe 2 stars. I made a lot of different changes myself to this recipe. It wasn't really completely bad, it just wasn't what I was looking for. First off, I saw some people complaining about the cake batter being thick... well, yes... I mean, you're working with chocolate ;) lol... I won't make the cake batter again though. The cake itself was tasty, but there was a weird hard shell around it when it cooled. If you like to decorate your cakes like I do, then this isn't the cake you want. The filling was just way to sweetly tart to care for. And chocolate makes raspberries more tart. I only used semi sweet choc, dont care for anything else! The icing was way too drippy to spread. After having it in the fridge for about an hour it was still gooey, so I made it into a chocolate buttercream... delish, probably the best part of the cake!! Well, besides my decoration ;) hahaa.. on that note... I probably won't make this cake again, just the frosting part.. but cootos to all of those that enjoyed it. My mom and sister loved it and it was for them, for mothers day today. I guess it was a success in that sense!!! Thanks for the recipe!

Best Ever Cinnamon Buns
I am only giving this recipe 3 stars because I didnt make it right, I guess! They came out flat and didnt taste good at all. . . Although I still have to practice working with yeast, as it was my first time. So if you don't know what you're doing, ask for a lil help ;) hahaa
