Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
Yummmmmmm!!!!! These are really really good! I added more cocoa, at least a heaping tablespoon more...and glad I did it was perfect for me and my husband! I will try butter next time just to see what the difference is, I think the butter will make them even better! One tiny complaint is the thickness, I really wish they were a little thicker. Very good recipe, I will no longer need to buy a brownie mix! (I bake EVERYTHING from scratch but never found a brownie recipe I really liked, but these are IT!)

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
Very disappointing! I love cinnabon and this is definately not a clone. Followed the recipe exactly. Didn't rise very much (and my oven has a proof setting so I know that wasn't me and yeast was tested prior to using and is fine) too much flour and way too much sugar in the filling, very very sweet. Dough too dense and even tough. I've made many sweet rolls and have many many cinnabon in my life and these are nothing like them at all. If you want good cinnamon rolls just make a sweet dough, roll out and spread with butter sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar, rise, bake and put icing on top don't bother with this recipe.

Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
WOW! Rich, smooth, yummy sauce! I'm a choc-a-holic so I used 3 heaping tablespoons of cocoa, left out the cinnamon, and within minutes had a wonderful chocolate sauce! Easy and had all ingredients on hand - what more could you ask for? Love this stuff! I did NOT sift the cocoa, just stirred it with the other dry ingredients as per the recipe and I had absolutely no lumps whatsoever and my sauce came out nice and thick too!

Plum Blueberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
This is a great recipe! I did make some changes - more brown sugar and butter in the bottom of the pan and I didn't melt it together in the oven, just melted the butter in a bowl, added the brown sugar then spread in the bottom of the pan oh I added a few shakes of cinnamon to the brown sugar and butter mixture too. I added cinnamon to the batter too. I used a 9 inch pan but it was wayyyy too small, or maybe I had big plums, idk but next time i will use a bigger pan. It was really delicious. I used two different kinds of plums one dark and the other wasn't so dark but it was all good. I had to bake it alot longer too - I think it was at least an hour. But well worth the wait!
