Florentine Caramelized Onion Soup

This recipe was time consuming and ended up truly disgusting. I wish I had not added the Italian bread as, prior to that it was just edible. I ended up using a few spoons of this to flavour a spring vegetable soup in place of onions and the remainder I threw out - a waste of some good white wine !To say that preparation is 15 mins is incorrect as it needs attention several times while cooking.

Italian Ricotta Cheese Pie

The filling of this pie was insipid even although I added extra honey and some lemon juice. I would never make it again

Sweet Potato Cookies

These were the most boring cookies I have ever tasted and even frosting did not improve them much. Got my friends to rate them and they didn't get one good report. Ended up throwing the last of them out as I wouldn't even use them in trifle !

Festive Prune Cake

This was a really beautiful cake and was raved about by everyone who tasted it.I cooked it in a 10inch round tin and it took longer than specified (nearly double the time).It has great keeping qualities and stays beautifully moist.
