Banana Cream Pie I

Sadly, my pie came out very runny, even after chilling in fridge / freezer for 5 hours. I prepared exactly as instructed, substituting corn starch for flour. I will try again with slightly different ingredients. I topped my pie w/ whipped cream and a combination of toasted coconut and sliced almonds (1/4 c each sweetened coconut flakes + chopped slivered almonds, toasted in dry pan over med. heat for 10 minutes or until golden.) This topping combination was heavenly, and the flavor of the pie was amazing (if not perhaps a bit too sweet... less sugar next time), too bad it was soupy, or this dessert would have been perfect.
