Bronco Burger

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
I also followed this recipe as written. Except I toasted the buns.I really am shocked at the results. My kids LOVED these burgers. They are fast food burgeraholics. They usually only eat 1 burger each so I made the extras into patties and froze them while the kids ate. My son comes down stairs and says "Mommy that was the best burger ever!,I want more!" They made me promise to make them again the next night. So I did and now instead of going to Checker's, Hardees,or Wendy's my kids now prefer theses.Great job thanks so much ?

Mediterranean Chicken with Eggplant

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
This recipe is really good. My husband asks for it often which is no problem b/c it's easy to make. I used diced tomatoes instead of sauce and added shredded Parmesan cheese at the end of baking and serve w/ rice and bread it's so great.

Eileen's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
I decided to make this recipe based on ingredients and rating and I am so glad I did. I HATE meatloaf so I never eat it. My family enjoyed this so much and my persistent husband kept saying you gotta try this so reluctantly I did. Not only did I eat my own serving I had seconds! It was so good! I have other meatloaf recipes from this site but because the whole family agrees on this one, this is THE ONE! As my 7 yr old put it "this is some good stuff!" Thank You Eileen

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2005
I know it's cliche' to say I was worried about the cottae cheese in this recipe, but boy was I wrong! My husband unlike myself grew up around authentic mexican food and he said these are the best he's ever had. I know the corn tortillas are difficult to work with, but for the taste you gotta try it. Thank you Crystal, this is my new one and only Enchilada recipe. Oh, make your red sauce from scratch, there are plenty on this site to try!

Cooked Pumpkin

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2005
This worked great. If you want to use fresh pumpkin this is a perfect method. The only reason I will not do it again is because I couldn't tell the difference taste wise between the fresh and the canned pumpkin. I think it's the same taste with double the work.

This was a very god dessert. Everyone who tried it enjoyed it very much. I used fresh berries instead of frozen, but I left everything else the same.

This tastes great and it's so easy and fast. My husband absolutely loves it. The kids don't care for it. Me I can only eat a small helping because it's so rich, but it tastes great. I've made it 4 times now.

Hard Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: May 15, 2005
This recipe is fabulous! I don't know why more people haven't tried it. I used it b/c the ingredients were simple, none of that corn syrup nonesense! I used 2 1/2 4oz Ghirardelli baking bars.(Each 4 oz. Bar Contains 8 sections(1/2 oz. each). 2 sections equal 1 oz. I have to admit I am horrible with math so I was confussed with the measurements for the chocolate. I used regular butter b/c I didn't have unsalted. As soon as I poored the glaze on my bundt cake it started to stiffen and has a wonderful shine to it. Not to mention it tastes great. I love it and will use this from now on. Thank you Trica for making my day and my cake great!

Sweet Potato Pie II

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2004
Oh my Gosh! This is the best sweet potato pie I have ever had. I usually spend $8 on one from a bakery and now my family and I love this one. I can't believe how good this is and in such a short time! I used canned yams and half&half because I did not have milk. I also made my own crust(French Pastry Pie Crust on this site, also a winner) and used a spingform pan. My sweet potato recipe search is over! You gotta try this you will love it!

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2004
This recipe is really great. It's definately mor like a peach pie because of the crust. I used 4 tbsp of flour instead of cornstarch( FYI:for any recipe 1Tbsp starch=2Tbsp flour) and continued to heat the peach/flour mixture until the sauce thickened before pouring onto the crust. My peaches were tart so the sugar was not a problem. The filling is by far the best I have tasted, butI wanted a more flacky crust mine was just like pie dough. I am sorry peoplee had problems with this recipe, but I think if you change to many things you won't get the specifed results. For sure if you use fresh fruit add more starch/flour.This is not what I know as traditional soft dough crust cobbler, but it's good and you can always try a different crust.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2003
Wow these cookies are great! I like many others have been searching and searching for a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe and I finally found it! I am soooo happy. I did change it up a bit, I reduced the white sugar to 3/4 c because I know that more brown sugar makes them softer and vise versa. I also only used 2 1/4 c of flour. I think too much flour takes away from the taste, and left out the nuts. So this is my new recipe. The only other one I will try is the one that includes ground rice crispy cereal, just because I am curious.

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2003
I thought this cake was ok. It was entirely too sweet and very crumbly. Really, it's mostly sugar. I am not sure where most people buy their honey buns from, but I've never tasted one like this. My husband liked it, but I won't make it again. It gave me a tummy ache, I felt like a kid after eating too much candy.

Brownie Delight

I did not like this recipe at all. I found nothing special about it and I followed directions for the topping exactly and it still didin't turn out right. Maybe some one else will have better luck with this recipe.

Praline Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2003
This is by far one of the best cakes I have ever had and my husband agrees. It is so easy to make, yet you can not tell by the look and taste. I have made this twice and it is one of the only cakes I have ever made that has no leftovers. This is a must try recipe, you probably have all of the ingredients right now anyway!

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2002
These bars are very good. I could not get enough of them. I used 1 9x13 size pan and a 8x8 and had plenty of frosting for both. The only thing was that at the party I took them to everyone kept referirng to them as carrot cake! I admit it does taste a bit ( ok a lot!) like it and my husband says you really can't tell the difference, but I can. I think this recipe is better than carrot cake and without a doubt easier. I can't wait to make it again.

Twelve Minute Pasta Toss

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2002
Really great recipe and the seasoning is GREAT, so perfect. The only thing was I didn't like was the sun dried tomatoes. I have never had them before and eating them reminded me of eating sun dried prunes (yuck!). In any case that's on me, the recipe is still really good and I will make it again, without the tomatoes.

Aunt Jewel's Chicken Dressing Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2002
I thought this recipe was pretty good. I read the other reviews before making it and I used cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soups. I think that it would probably be best to follow instructions and use the cream of celery soup with this recipe. I honestly think it would taste a lot better. I guess it depends on your taste, but I'm sure it will good either way.
