Pickled Red Beet Eggs

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2013
for CRAZY4CARDS123: Your eggs are too fresh....I know that sounds weird, but try boiling eggs that have been in your fridge for at least a week or two! Also, I "roll" my eggs gently against a work surface so that the shell is basically shattered all around. They peel like a dream after that.

Egg in a Hole

We called these "bird's nests" Whenever my kids had sleepovers, they told their friends that Mom cooks bird's nests for breakfast....the look on their faces was priceless every time.

To add an extra "snap" to this excellent base recipe, try adding sliced water chestnuts into the veggie mixture.

Spaghetti Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
Very much like the one I make except the thickness of the crust and filling are equal in my pies. I make this with my own leftover spaghetti sauce, so prep time is drastically reduced. My daughter loves the crust mixture before it's even cooked, so I have to make a little extra for snitching!

Spaghetti Pie II

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
Very close to the one I make, except my crust isn't quite as thick as these photos show. The crust and filling should be about the same thickness as each other. I make this with my own leftover spaghetti sauce, and in fact my family expects spaghetti pie the next night without question. My daughter loves the crust mixture before it's even cooked, so I have to make a little extra for snitching!
