Tomato Bisque III

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
For those that are having trouble finding "fire roasted diced tomatoes" I found them in the healthy/organic section of our grocery store. I however went the cheaper route and used zesty diced tomatoes with green chilis. Probably one can of that and one of regular would be good because it was a little spicy, but still good!

Tantalizing Turkey and Blue Cheese Meatballs

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
Goat cheese can be substituted for the blue cheese. I also agree with others to substitue one egg for the 3 egg whites and cut back the pepper to 2 teaspoons from a tablespoon.

Authentic German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
Very good. However, I boiled the potatoes whole, then peeled and diced them, so they wouldn't get to mushy.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
Very good; I didn't bother pounding them. Just layed the cheese and ham on top, folded in half long ways and secured with toothpicks.

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
Instead of milk I used a combination of leftover heavy cream and evaporated skim milk. It was quite good. My husband loved it and a daughter that generally doesn't like pork said she liked it as well.

Lolah's Chicken Adobo

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
Sorry, but even using a low salt soy sauce, I found this way to salty. The soy saltiness was so overpowering I couldn't even taste the other spices.

Cranberry BBQ Chicken

Very good and easy. I made it with 5 chicken thighs with skin removed. Could have added one more piece as there was plenty of sauce.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
I thought I must have incorrectly measured the flour because after 30 minutes it was still liquidy in the middle. After reading review, I see that others had the same problem. Then put it bake in covered with aluminum foil for another 30 minutes. It was edible, but not very pretty. Sorry, but I definately will not make it again.

this was good but you don't need to use all the dressing on it - too much.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
Very good. When I went shopping, the sirloin steak was priced high, so I purchased shoulder steak instead for about half the price and it was very good in this recipe. I did cut the amount of salt in half and that was fine for us
