About this Cook
I'm over 30, live alone and decided to finally "learn" how to cook after all these years. I started w/a cooking class in 2009 and have been gradually trying to expand my cooking more and more. I'm happy to be here :-)
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking anything italian, chicken soup, beans and steak.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family doesn't really have any traditions. Which is part of the reason I never learned how to cook lol
My cooking triumphs
Making my first Thanksgiving meal in 2010! Normally, I'm only allowed to make the peas...always from a can lol. But I cooked everything from the Turkey, to the yams this year. My family was both shocked and impressed. ALL of the recipes I used came from this website :-)
My cooking tragedies
Too many to name. Ever completely screw up rice? Cause I have...so many times that I went and bought a rice cooker. Why is it that even now- I still cant cook rice to save my life?!

Easy Vegan Pasta Sauce
I love this recipe! I've made it several times and couldn't seem to get the consistency of the original photo with just using tomatoes so each time I've made it I used 1 small can of salt free tomato sauce. Besides that small issue, everything else is PERFECT. I refuse to use bottled sauce from now on. This was super easy and tastes fantastic! I eat it over spaghetti squash.

Curried Mango Chicken
It came out really good. I used shrimp instead of chicken in mine because I stopped eating beef/poultry for a bit. Used the recipe in the same exact way and as I said- it came out really good!
