About this Cook
Mother of two to cook but I love to eat even more... :):)! Love most foods...except raw fish. Love children and pleasing them by specialty is my chocolate chip cookies. I'm mostly an old fashion cook...traditional pot roast, potatoes and gravy; etc. After losing weight with a very nutritional diet I realized it was a life time change and wanted to find more healthy choices so I turned to (my allrecipes) referred by my cousin Carole, a member.
My favorite things to cook
I especially love to bake mainly because I love sweets. Since I'm trying to change my life-style with healthier choices I've not baked as much...but will indulged on the occasion. The trick is to have "a" cookie, once a week; not a half dozen, everyday. :):) So I'm looking for low-fat treats.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mom's lasagna is a family favorite.
My cooking triumphs
My biscuits and gravy....hmmm good!
My cooking tragedies
I usually fail a new recipe but it'll turn out the second time around. My worst failure was a home-made apple pie when I added way too much nutmeg...UHG!! My son loves apple pies so much and was the 1st to taste it. When I saw the look on his face...I new it had to be real bad because he'll eat anything with a grin on his face...he looked like he was about to be sick...LOL!! Poor kid felt bad for me! How sweet is that! I made him another the very next day...this one was good and put a big smile on his lovely face.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I
Loved it! I added a little milk because I thought it might be dry and left it for only 20 minutes....didn't realize the sour cream would become more creamy after it warmed up. This is a keeper!
