Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
I just made these brownies and they taste really good. I had a problem with the frosting though. It seems there's some liquid missing from the recipe. The frosting was too dry to be mixed. I added a little milk, about a teaspoon, and that fixed the problem. Like stated in the recipe, I put the frosting on when the brownies were still warm and it basically took off the top of the brownies so it ended up being a mix of frosting and brownie crumbs on top. Next time, I will either add more milk to really thin the icing so it spreads better or I will just omit the icing as the brownies are good on their own.

Pasta with Tomato and Bacon

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
I was looking for a recipe with stuff I had at home as I didn't feel like going to the store. I entered pasta, tomato, cheese and bacon in ingredients and this recipe came up. I'm glad it did! It was really good. It true that it looks dry at first but it is perfect when you mix it with the pastas. After reading the reviews I did this: I put in 7 slices of bacon which I cut in 1 inch slices before cooking them. After removing the bacon, I cooked the onions and garlic in the bacon fat. Since I didn't have a can of tomatoes, I used 3 fresh tomatoes, removed the skin and diced them. I don't like parmesan cheese so I put in 1/2 cup of mozzarella which I mixed in with the pastas and sauce before serving. I used rotini pastas. I will make it the same way again and have a bowl of freshly grated parmesan cheese available for those who like it. This is now a favorite. Thanks Catherine.

Chocolate Chip Meringue Drops

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2002
Awesome! Can't believe these cookies are so low fat. I made 24 good size ones instead of 40 small drops. They were amazing! Will make again for sure 'cause I'm addicted...For weight watchers people, the whole recipe is only 12.5 pts and they are so sweet that you can even make it without chocolate chips and that would be only 8.5 pts total!!!

Banana Pancakes I

Very good recipe. Didn't put cinnamon since I don't like the taste. Had them with a little butter on top. Good low point recipe for weight watchers. My 2 year old loved them. Will make again.

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2002
Not bad considering it's low fat and only 2 points per serving on weight watchers. I found it to be "heavy", not very moist. I left it in the oven for 55 minutes but I think maybe it wasn't enough. I also added 1 tsp of vanilla. Will give it another try. Next time, I hope it will be as moist as most other raters have found it to be.

Toll House® Streusel Muffins

I thought those would be bigger. They look more like British scones than they do muffins. They taste greatbut I find that there is too much chocolate for my taste even though I'm a chocoholic. Easy and quick.

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2002
I made 12 big cookies with that recipe and cooked them for 18 minutes. It might have been too long cause I don't find them very chewy, after 12 sec in the microwave they're softer. I also find them too sweet for my taste and I have a sweet tooth... Does anyone know if I can put less sugar and replace it with something else so that they don't turn out that sweet? Good recipe overall.
