Hi! My name is Kayli Branson. I am 22 years old and I am from Sacramento. I have always watched my parents cook when I was a child. My dad taught me how to cook eggs. That was how I learned how easy it is to burn eggs. I have just recently taken up cooking as a hobby. So far I love it and look forward to more and more.
My favorite things to cook
Well I haven’t cooked enough yet to truly have a favorite. But my favorite recipe so far was the chicken cordon bleu. I am learning to create my own masterpieces from the base recipes I get from this website. It's a great feeling to have people love you’re cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every holiday I would always make deviled eggs. This time around I am going to show off my new cooking skills.

Double Decker Tacos
Awesome idea. We loved it. Instead of making guacamole I just cut up avocado. I also cut up olives, onions, and romaine lettuce. Really yummy. I also added 2 minced garlic cloves to the ground beef. I used a tiny bit of taco seasoning and seasoned the rest with a teaspoon of chili powder, season pepper, and garlic salt. I topped them with shredded jack cheese, sour cream, and green chili Verde sauce. Yummy

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling
The original recipe was too salty due to the taco seasoning. I made a few changes to the recipe and give the new and improved recipe 5 stars. Instead of taco seasoning, I just used cayan pepper, cilantro, and crushed red pepper. I also added half a 4 ounce can diced green chilies, green onion and white onion to the mix as well. When rolling burritos I added black beans and green salsa Verde. I followed what JUBEEFISH suggested and put in baking pan, poured salsa and cheese on top of the burritos. I added olives and more green onion and bakes for 15 minutes on 350. Topped with sour cream and served. They were AMAZING.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I
We loved it. I made a small amount of changes to the recipe. I did not have oregano so I used Parsley flakes instead. I also fried the chicken in butter, garlic, and a splash of white wine vinegar, as well as sprinkled pepper and crushed red pepper. Before serving I added sour cream. I loved the taste of the hominy. That was the first time I have ever had that. It was definitely a favorite. Totally filling we did not need a side dish.
