I just so happened to have blueberrys and a huge tub of vanilla yogurt. I am on a low fat no diet. So I needed a change of my fruit routine. The nutmeg is to give it flavor, but with the vanilla yogurt and yes I threw in the vanilla extract as well. It gives it that sweeter taste you need. Not overly the sweet, I do not like sweets and candy either. So this hits the spot. Not bland at all. My blueberries were frozen, so it gave a ice cold blend. Now I like my smoothies a little more thicker, but this blended well. I guess add ice if you want it thicker, or to mild out the vanilla sweetness if you use vanilla yogurt. I'll try that next time.
