Apple Puff Pancake

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2012
Really tasty. Unfortunately, I didn't have apples or apple jelly on hand, so I couldn't try that part of the recipe. But I bet you could improvise with some brown sugar and butter, and whatever fruit you have. I did that, and it was quite nice. What I did was melt about 4 T of butter in a skillet , and then added about 1 1/2 c. of fresh pineapple chunks and a handful or so of brown sugar. Will definitely make again. Thanks for the recipe, it is a keeper!

Microwave Mochi

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
Great versatile recipe, thanks for posting. It is VERY GOOD with one change: try subbing 1 c. of coconut milk for 1 c. of the water. I ate that whole batch in one day BY MYSELF. Another good version: try adding 3T sifted cocoa for chocolate mochi.

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
Good basic ideas for a breaded pork chop. I had thin, boneless centre cut chops and baked them for about 20 minutes. They were so dry, it was like eating cork. What kind of pork chop takes 45 minutes in the oven?? I'll try this recipe again, but take the chops out after 12-15 minutes.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
Better than a Peanut Butter cup! After reading the reviews, I decided to add 1 cup of cracker crumbs to the peanut butter base to cut the sweetness. I used Breton crackers, but I am sure saltines would work out well too. It added some texture and without them, this dessert would probably be too sweet. Oh, I also just used the powdered sugar (omitted the brown sugar).

Cabbage Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
Very boring and bland. I subbed some of the broth for water, to cut down on sodium (I have an 11 month old). Baby was the only one who seemed to like it. Won't be making this again.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
Best cornbread ever...I added 1/2 cup of plain yoghurt because of the comments that it was a tad crumbly. It turned out moist and rich. I also cut salt to 1/2 tsp, and added only 2 tsp baking powder, like other reviewers.
