Mom's Ginger Snaps

I followed the recipe and doubled the spices as suggested. These did not turn out at all! The taste, texture, appearance are all so disappointing. They did not crackle, are flat, the sugar is not visible on the top, are tasteless and dry! I've made perfect cakes in my oven, yet these...! I cooked for 7 min the first batch and 8 min the second batch to see if this would help the top crackle. My 2nd batch was burnt after only a minute longer.

Taco Seasoning I

Challah II

It didn't rise and didn't cook all the way, so was doughy inside. It was sweet, but I like sweeter bread, so added honey on top before eating. It was moist and crisp on the outside. Next time I would make the roll smaller in width so it cooks all the way through.

Decadent Blueberry & Cream Pie

I love this recipe. It reminds me of cheese cake. I would not add the cinnamon, as it alters the flavor. I always make 2 since everyone has 2nds or 3rds. Super yummy!

Pumpkin Bars

Amazing with freshly baked pumpkin. The key is to use fresh pumpkin! I make them as cup cakes and use cream cheese frosting. They were a huge hit and I've made them at least 5 times in the last month. I use high fiber pastry flour and a high quality organic oil, or a healthier option.

Homemade Angel Food Cake

My first attempt at angelfood and it turned out great. It was very moist, yet light and fluffy. It was a huge hit. I will make again when I need to use up egg whites.

Blueberry Oat Waffles

This was a great hit. They were very filling. I added some vanilla and used stevia instead of brown sugar. I would make them a bit sweeter next time. I served with whipped cream and syrup. I will definitely make again!

Scottish Shortbread IV

Super yummy cookies! I added a little vanilla and used spelt or oat flour or a combo of the two (I forgot which kind of flour I purchased)? Anyway, it worked well and the dough was very moist. It would have rolled very easily, but I just spooned it onto the cookie sheet. The cookies spread a tiny bit. In the future I may add a bit of cinnamon and may press the cookies into a pan, then cut for squares. They were a bit crumbly after cooking. I only cooked for 19 minutes at 325.

Fluffy French Toast

Great recepie, although the french toast isn't as fluffy as I was expecting. I use pancake mix to add a little more "fluff". Be sure to stir the mix after each piece of toast because the flour tends to float to the bottom of the mix.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

This was a very yummy recipe. It reminded me of the garlic potatoes at Bennigan's. They were very garlicy, which both my husband and I loved. They were a little dry though; we had to double or triple the milk. I only left the garlic in for 25min and it was still to long. I would hate to see what it looked like after 45min. But I was pleased with the overall result. Thanks.

My Best Clam Chowder

This is the best clam chowder I have ever had. My husband loved it too. This recipe didn't call for spices, which was dissapointing. I love spices so I added thyme leaves, bay leaves, and california garlic. I have to have garlic! It was wonderful. The vinegar was definately the final touch.
