Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2007
Our family enjoyed these last night. I didn't actually make biscuits though. I used the dough to make pigs in a blanket but they went over well. They rose nicely. Like others I did not use the full cup of milk and it was still so sticky I had to ad a bunch more flour on the counter in order to knead the dough. At first it stuck to everything and I had to continue adding flour until I could work with the dough. The stickyness is why it got a 4 star review I think the proportions of ingredients needs adjusting.

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
My husband and I agree this is the best pizza crust I have made. I love that I can make two pizzas with it. I will often substitute part of the white flour with whole wheat. It has been the only pizza crust I have used now for over a year.

Chili Seasoning Mix II

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
This was very good. I used the ratios a previous reviewer wrote (2Tbl per pound of meat) Except I chose to leave out the 1\4th cup of flour and so it made it a lot spicier. My husband and I enjoyed it but it was a little too spicy for the preschoolers. .

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
My family enjoys this and I have varied ingredients and it still comes out good. I have made as written as well as have substituted the oil with applesauce and still came out great. I also will do half brown sugar and half white sugar and it still turns out ok. I even made it up as a dry corn bread mix and sent it to my grandma with a dry soup mix and she fixed the bread yesterday and said she loved it so it is liked by my preschoolers as well as my 85yr old grandmother.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
I liked the muffin part but did not like the crumb topping. I think they would have tasted better without going to the trouble of the topping it made it too sweet and I did not even put all the topping on I still had quite a bit left over. BUT If you ask my 6yr old he said he loved them and I asked which part the muffin or topping and he said "the whole thing"

Tea Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
I followed the recipe as it was written and they were a good basic biscuit recipe. Very simple and worked well for Biscuits and gravy. Also good with honey and Jam. We are at high altitude and they worked well with no changes.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
This was super easy and fast. My 6yr old son keeps asking me to make it again. I did use an oreo type crust and all natural peanut butter to make it healthier.

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
This was great! I used organic cocoa and dehydrated cane sugar instead of white sugar to make it a little healthier. The kids and my husband loved it and I feel much better serving this then the store bought stuff. Thanks.

Whole Wheat Maple Quick Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2006
This was very good! I agree with another poster that the bake time needs decreasing. I set my timer for 40min and that was too long. Very good and healthy though.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2006
I must agree that these are great. Being the chocoholic I am I did make them how the recipe reads. Next time I am going to try with Peanut butter chips. I also had to cook them longer then the recipe says. My first sheet was pretty raw in the middle.

Zucchini Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2005
I can't believe I served this to guests consisting of 4 adults in their early 20s, two of them male AND I know at least one of them that would not have touched this had he known it was zucchini. All the guys took seconds of this "apple" cobbler. It was great and I got rid of one of my large zucchinis.
