Slow Cooker Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
I have not made this recipe yet but I think the others who have may simply need to adjust the amount of liquid being used - if your crockpot is larger than the traditional 6 quart style or very new and powerful, you have to add more water to make sure the pot is at least half-full for the whole time, or everything will overcook. I will try this and check back!

Chocolate Covered Bacon Toffee

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2010
Haven't made this yet but just wanted to share that I much prefer Ancho or Chipotle chili powder with chocolate, they add spice but don't kill the flavor of the other ingredients like cayenne can. (Also - had to laugh when I read your review of the other bacon & chocolate recipe that you use KOSHER salt - I know why, but it was just funny!) Keep up the great ideas!

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
I love this recipe! I have made many variations and my kids love them - I've added sesame seeds and soynut butter (we're peanut allergic), cocoa and chocolate chips for a more indulgent treat that 's still much healthier than most cookies, and most recently I swapped in molasses for the honey and added ginger and clove and extra cinnamon for a gingerbread taste. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Also, I line my pan with a sheet of parchment paper to make removal easy but cheaper than foil.

Tiramisu Cheesecake

Awesome recipe, flavors are great - I did use the more traditional cocoa powder on top instead of grated chocolate, just knowing that's what my family is used to, and extra ladyfingers for decoration. Thanks!
