About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
When I was about 12 I made an Egyptian spinach soup. The recipe called for 2 Tbsp of butter, and underneath that it called for a pinch of cheyenne pepper. Now, I know most of you know what happened next. I added 2 Tbsp of each! It was so spicy that no one except my brother and my dad ate it. And they liked it too! Wonder of wonders. The soup stained the bowls that we ate it in, and the large container of leftovers. (We didn't waste much growing up.) My family has never let me live it down.
