Tartar Sauce I
My beloved Uncle Dick Taylor was a head chef at Bess Eiler's in Santa Monica, CA in the 50's. As a new bride he gave me this recipe for tarter sauce. It IS the BEST. Dill pickle relish can also be used or a combo of both sweet & dill depending on your taste preference.

Easy Vegetable Beef Soup
Good recipe but needed more rich flavor. I used canned beef consomme to give it more body & flavor. Added more garlic & Italian seasonings. Sprinkled parmesan cheese on top.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops
I also have been making a very close version (I add minced garlic) of this recipe for 50 years. Its hard to imagine a month going by that this is not on my supper menu. I also have done it with sirloin steak & its equally good. Its great to see some young cooks on this website. Its also nice to see them get excited over an old recipe that is new to them. Thanks for sharing!
