Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
a bit salty, could have used more add-ins, but the chicken was super tender and delicious.

Slow Cooker Pinto Bean Bonanza

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
A good, hearty meal, tasty, just not completely amazing, thus the 4 stars. Will make again. I saved time in the morning by soaking the beans overnight and the next morning i didn't boil them, instead i put them in the slow cooker on high for 6 hours (then it switches to warm mode). They turned out perfectly well done that way.

Quinoa Pilaf

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
These are the types of dishes I like to make and keep on hand for side dishes. I got a little carried away with the lemon... but that's not the recipe's fault.

Good flavor, all the same texture. Next time i'll double the topping and perhaps do 3 cups of squash.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
this worked very well.. used sweet baby ray's original bbq sauce. I about doubled the pineapple because I liked it. I covered the chicken in a baking dish and just baked at 350 for about 40 minutes, turned out perfectly.

I didn't have whole wheat flour, but it tasted great with regular flour :)

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
These turned out well, and were great the next day for lunch. They were a little bland, which isn't something that I usually mind.. add a little more pizzaz and these will be awesome!

very good as is. Turned out much better than I'd expected.. great party or potluck item. Easy to make.. I'd consider adding a little more flavor in there.. maybe some more spices?

Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
I followed the directions completely, however next time i'd definitely add my favorite mexican seasonings and use tomato sauce or paste as opposed to the soup.

Indian Saffron Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
I'll have to try this one again. followed the recipe, though i used spanish saffron threads which i crushed and brown basmati rice. Next time I'll use more saffron and perhaps no salt or very little. It sort of reminded me more of buttered popcorn than indian rice. :) I even think it would be fun to make it more of a casserole, use the same recipe but put it in a baking dish, add chicken pieces to it, cover and bake for 45ish minutes.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
next time, I think i'd double the spices, as it's a little bland for falafel. The cucumber sauce is great.

Ten Minute Szechuan Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
Great flavor, super easy to make. I used chicken strips, just to save time and I only had real onion, which was fine, but perhaps not as authentic. I will make this again. So easy, so quick, and it would be an impressive dish to serve for guests.

Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
excellent flavor. I don't know why I didn't listen to the other reviewers as I normally do, because they were right, it's a little dry, but I'm not offended, it tasted awesome. If you don't like things too sweet, there's no need for glaze at all, and you may consider cutting down on the sugar.
