I love this recipe - so impressive and so simple! Just remember if you are using ground ginger (not the fresh kind) to use far less of it, or it will end up with quite a bite.

Indian Saffron Rice

I'll have to try this one again. followed the recipe, though i used spanish saffron threads which i crushed and brown basmati rice. Next time I'll use more saffron and perhaps no salt or very little. It sort of reminded me more of buttered popcorn than indian rice. :) I even think it would be fun to make it more of a casserole, use the same recipe but put it in a baking dish, add chicken pieces to it, cover and bake for 45ish minutes.

Italian is my favorite kind of food, and i eat it often, so i was excited about this recipe. It tasted good, but it wasn't fabulous. I made it almost exactly according to the recipe. I probably won't make this again because there's many things i like more.

Slow Cooker Pinto Bean Bonanza

A good, hearty meal, tasty, just not completely amazing, thus the 4 stars. Will make again. I saved time in the morning by soaking the beans overnight and the next morning i didn't boil them, instead i put them in the slow cooker on high for 6 hours (then it switches to warm mode). They turned out perfectly well done that way.

Ten Minute Szechuan Chicken

Great flavor, super easy to make. I used chicken strips, just to save time and I only had real onion, which was fine, but perhaps not as authentic. I will make this again. So easy, so quick, and it would be an impressive dish to serve for guests.

Apple Crisp II

One word: Amazing. I too doubled the topping, that's a good choice if you like a better topping to apple ratio. I cut the water in half, but it didn't need any at all. I didn't believe the other reviewers.. but as usual.. they're right! I brought this to a church event and someone found me to shake my hand for making the amazing apple crisp.
