Apple Butter Pork Loin

I have always enjoyed apples and pork. I make my own apple butter,with chunks.Good for cooking and even on toast, I don't use too much brown sugar, alittle vanilla,sometimes a little homemade syrup made with a dash of Crescent mapeleine maple flavor. I like the slow cooker. The way I get the crusty brown, put my pot on high right away, add my onions, let them build to sizzling and add a few apple slices ,sizzle again. When it's dark enough for you add your "decorated" roast,as my granddaughter would have called the rubbed with seasonings roast. I am dividing a large roast into 3 pieces to freeze 2 for later use since I am buying things on great sales and budgeting meals and this fits all my needs and wants, thanks so much!!!

Sweet and Sour Pork Patties

I can tell I will use this recipe a lot. Like some of the others I too will use the AR II SW&Sr sauceI I needed one of them too.I likelywillincorperate some garbanzo beans and/or tofu with the pork and make sweet and sour meat balls to serve different ways,I like the usefulness of this,and the flavor and ease and good for you makes me able to give a5 star.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Iappreciate this recipe, but because ofmy husband's needs will use Meridith's adjustments and as I have to eliminate salt where I can to keep in the catsup I'll use low sodium soy sauce, can't wait. Thanks

Lavash Cracker Bread

I tried this today and found it simple and pleasant to work with. I did use spelt flour instead of wwheat increasing it to 1cup. I also used a mixture of white mostly organic flours ihave already mixed for baking. I also use bulk instant yeast so I guesstemated,pretty good. I was greatful for the suggestion of the long , even so I still had mor than enough, or too little Lavash cracker bread. No problem. I was so tired any way, so I rolled some. Let the rest in the log froze them. This way I can make a batch when I'm tryiny soda bread and sweet Irish bread.Because the ones I did make Iput myhomemade yogurtcream cheese w/ dried onion spinach-oliveoil-jalapeno dip on them, with one of his favorite homemade soups, lima bean. Did he like the cracker bread? No, he loved them, asked me for 3 more, after I intiallt gave him 1 large, 1small. Next, I'm trying them with my homemade fruit butters and yogurt cream cheese/nuts and tea. thanks Betty, I'm going to share with some of my tea loveers!!

Buttery Pan Rolls

I wanted a refrigerated type of roll dough, and i decided to try this as I couldn't remember mine from about 40 yrs ago, and didn't have success locating one on AR dictionary. I doubled the recipe, elimenated the butter, usedhaalf/half that had soured, used an excellent local olive oil freshly pressed with meyer lemon and 1/1/2c spelt flour,1/1/2 rye flour the rest a mix of bread flour, unbleached white and cake flour, and added a little extra yeast. It is presently resting in my refridgerator in a 6 qt. ceramic crock pot till I'm ready to bake several buns for my husband's sanwiches,and freeze the resst. Let you know the rest of the story.

Apple, Carrot, Or Zucchini Cake

I really like this recipe! I had been looking for quick bread recipes and stumbled on this. Several reasons why I find it great.I had all 3 ingredients frozen sepratley in my freezer from last summer, needing to be used. Also, this made such a tasty, healthy snack for my volunteer work at the mental wellness center. I also used Spelt flour, Pistachio and Pecan nuts needing to be used and raisons.My carrots were grated last Fall so they added to the texture quite nicely, the apples were also a thickened chuncky sauce as I did a lot of fuits that way last year. I call this recipe my "Clean Out The Freezer Tea Cake"

BANG!'s Famous Ginger Bread

Reviewing the ing. convinces me I must hurry home tomorrrow and put my groceries away so I can finallally use the ginger I groung and froze, the lemons ,the organac molasses,the maney eggs and the heavy whipping cream I got on sale today. I'll make a large batch and freeze some as I' sure this is at least a 5 star winner. I've always been able to call them right by the ingredients as I cook and bake by percepcetion smile

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I read many of the reviews and was impressed, so pressed on , but need to leave out the butter, adding homemade nonfat yogurt and homemade applebutter. No cinnamon,but nutmeg allspice and cardamon. I also found that the 9lbs of quick oatmeal a friend of mine gave me madeexcellent chewy cookies, as my neighbor kids all came back for more and my husband was afraid I was robbing him of his fair share when I was taking some to others.I assurred him I had made a double double batch, placing some in the freezer. This is a bettet breakfast bar, and not too difficult to concoct,thanks, Beth.

Healthier Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

I really liked this recipe. I only had freshly cooked pumpkin, sour cream, sour milk, and apple sauce to sub, which made it come out more like pie which I liked, but I will make it the way it's presented next time, as I think both will be grrreat, thanks!
