I've loved cooking for as long as I can remember,at least 63 yrs. I'm not saying they LET me cook then, I was 3 then, but I didi what my Nanny let me when we went to Chicago to visit, seems I remember sqeezing Ojuice. By 7th grade I was pretty well doing the simple cooking, mom worked, dad was out to sea a lot.Later, when I was married I found I could cook pretty accurately w/o measuring, and did thid successfully for many years. After quite a few illnesses and passing yrs, and faiures, I pretty much use measurins tools again. I joined AR to help get new ideas for recipes I can adjust for budgets variety and ease of preparation to accomadate low income, handicaped and mentally ill persons. I already have shared some of my recipes and prepared items with some of the folks. The response was very encouraging. At the end of garden time, wer'e hoping to use some of the produce for cookinc, more AR recipes!! I hope get my photographer grandaughter to do me some pics, as I am computer illetera

My cooking triumphs
My husband pretty much likes it all.I think that's because he told me when we first started dating 35 years ago when he was coming to visit for dinner that it would'nt bother him if I burned the roast, his mother often did that, saying it probably was going to rain. I've tried not to burn any thing.
My cooking tragedies
5 lemon merangue pies flopped, had to throw all of them away, reall, so no one would know(was only 9 or 10) various moldy forgotten foods in the refridgerator, coconut too old in the granola, also assorted nutS not blanched either, not flavorful
