Basic Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
This was my first time making biscuits and found this super easy. I didn't have shortening, but my mom told me to use frozen butter and a cheese grater. Well grating frozen butter is not that easy so I just chopped it up into pieces as small as I could then mixed it in with the dry ingredients. I also needed a splash or so more milk then was called for, but that was to be expected. Then instead of rolling out the dough, I just scooped out spoonfulls and put them into muffin pans to bake. Everyone loved them. In the muffin pans it help make the outside crisp and the inside was so light and fluffy. Thanks mom for the frozen butter tip.
