Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2003
Very good and easy to make. Leftovers make great meatloaf sandwiches. I did use a sweetener substitute but I think just sticking with regular sugar might be a little better. I used Splenda and I think it made the sauce a little tart. I would also like to figure out how to decrease the carbs in the actual meatloaf – instead of bread crumbs maybe almond flour?

Beer and Soy Sauce Chicken

Very flavorful and simple. The whole family was pleased. We ran out of fresh garlic but garlic powder worked fine in it's place.

Freshly Fresh Strawberry Muffins

These turned out well and were kid friendly. I might be tempted next time to sprinkle some sugar on the tops. Or maybe add some sort of topping.

Wisconsin Bratwurst

The kids and the man of the house really liked this recipe. I think next time I might let them simmer in the beer bath just a little longer for additional flavor.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2002
These are wonderful cookies. I might be tempted to try it with milk chocolate chips next time. My kids loved the fact that they were huge and soft just like from the mall. A real winner!

I used a bit more cheese than it called for. Flavor was good and it might be nice to add some meat (like chicken) to it.

Chicken and Artichokes

A hit with my family. Although the kids were not thrilled with the artichoke hearts - a little too much bitterness for them. I served it with white rice.

Awesome Bow Tie Pasta

I added the olives as suggested but I also used Mediterranean Herb Crumbled Feta Cheese. I think it gave the recipe a nice Greek flavor. I might use just a tad less vinegar next time.

This was a great treat to wake up to Christmas morning. I will make it again for family. It's nice just to place in the oven without spending the morning cooking.

Herbed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2001
Very tasty. I actually ended up cooking mine in the over for 30 to 40 minutes (at 350) after browing the meat on the stove top. I drained the juices and then made the sauce with the corn starch after pulling it out of the oven.
