I love cooking entrees, appetizers and quiche. I'm 31 and trying to put my bar days behind me. Instead I am spending alot of energy on perfecting recipes! It's alot of trial and error. My mom will be so proud!! :-) Watch my recipe collection if you want to learn alot of chicken marinades and appetizers - I am always adding and customizing recipes.

My cooking triumphs
In January 2010, I made the best baked ziti I have ever eaten in my life - tons of cheese (4 kinds), spices and sausage. It was the first ziti I ever made and I can't wait to serve it to others.

Spiced Butternut Squash Muffins
I read the earlier reviews and, based on those, baked the squash for an hour first then used a little over a cup of squash (someone else said a cup equals 1/2 pound). I also wanted to make them a bit healthier so for the flours I did: 1/2 cup all purpose, 1/2 cup whole wheat and 1/2 cup wheat germ). These were yummy and very fresh tasting. My 1 year old loves them!

Macaroni and Cheese with Caramelized Onions and Bacon
This is amazing!! We are cheese lovers so we used a variety of cheeses (not just asiago and cheddar). We also used parmasan and fontina. Romano would be great as well. Like other reviewers, I think this would be better if the bread crumbs and butter (the dry topping) were doubled. This would be a great thing to bring to a Fourth of July picnic. Honestly, as a main entree, it starts to get boring after a while so it would be nice as a really good side dish with hot dogs or something off the grill.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence
This marinade gave us the moistest New York Strip steaks ever! Next time we might add some extra crushed red peppers because we like things spicy but, overall, it was amazing!!
