Sharon's Jamaican Fruit Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
This is a great cake. No added wine but i did soak for two days in rum/wine mixture. SInce the red wine this cake usually uses is a pretty sweet wine, it stand more sugar is your using a dry wine. I wish i added a half cup more sugar though. Still a good cake.

Cheese Ball I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Very good! i Got raves about it at thanksgiving! I only used 1 1/2 cups mild chedder cheese and 1/2 cup of very finely chopped ham. i forgot to add green onions like someone suggested but i can't see why it's really needed once you add the ranch. i did use almost all the ranch i left out about a table spoon because as i poured it in it seemed like more than enough. Covered it in choppped peacans (which i hate) for decorative purpose. but you couldn't even taste the peacans at all! To me it just added a little texture and very pretty coating. I will make this at every party! and even for a midnight snack sometimes.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
One of the best recipes on this site, its so good! No its great! I used a whole cupe of marsala wine( cooking wine at that!) and a Half cup of white wine a pinch of garlic in the sauce and i added onions as well as more mushrooms and heavy cream. and thickened it with flour/water mixture. served with rotini pasta and broc. If your making this to eat with pasta your make need to double or triple the sauce because it was only enough sauce for two servings.

It was my first time making spaghetti squash. And like other reviews i used ground turkey meat and italian sasuge so my husband would like it but it was a lilltle mushy. decent but i wouldn't make again. and yes you can taste that it is squash and not noodles, you have to love squash to love this dish.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
Great base recipe, I used pinapple supreme cake mix and used the juice from the pinapple instead of the water, then baked it in a 9x13 for 45 mins perfection. My husband loved but said it was soo good that i could only make it twice a year.lol that honor he reserves for his very favorite foods, too bad this is the second time i have made this already in two months. My excuse is i am 8 months preagnant and anything pinapple is what i crave.lol

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
Very tasty salisbury steak recipe. This my first time having salisbury steak and it was sooo good! My husband loved it too. I took pervious users advice and didn't make the gravy though, it didn't sound very appealing. i made a gravy from 1 can cream of mushroom, half a packect of french onion soup mix, the left over french onion can soup, a dash of wishertire and a 1/2 cup of water. it was a very oniony gravy but yummy all the gravy went so fast we didn't have enough for the left over steaks so next time i will double. All around good meal. and yes my steaks fell apart a little but we didn't care cause we loved the tenderness and saved us the time chopping it up and mixing with mash potatos.lol
