Creamy Seafood Medley with Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
This was just ok for me. I like celery, but it really over powered the dish. If I make this again I would cut the celery back to 1/2 a stalk or 1 stalk max. I did not have a good selection of scallops at the grocery store so I used crab. The crab worked out well, I liked it better then the shrimp. The shrimp became slightly tuff.

Beef Brisket with Mushrooms and Pearl Onions

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
I have never made Beef Brisket, this was the first recipe I have tried. I thought it turned out good. I could only find a 2 pound Brisket so I cut the recipe in half. I'm glad I did because it made quite a bit of food! I could not find Pearl Onions, so I used thickly sliced white onions. I did not care for the Tarragon, next time this will be left out. Also when making this, make sure the foil is folded tightly. A lot of my juice and sauce ran out due to the foil being loose.

Light, Crisp Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
Be warned!!!! This recipe only gave me 1 1/2 waffles! It was not worth the mess of making them. It will need to be at least double, triple, or quadruple the amount. The waffles were good, I substituted light sour cream for the buttermilk. I feel there are healthier waffle recipes that yield much more.

Strawberry Rhubarb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2010
This did not turn out well for me. It was very dry and more cakey than fruity. I did not taste the filling, it was very bland.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
Look no further! This is THE Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe! Really enjoyed this. I did however make the mistake of adding too many noodles and they sucked up a lot of the broth, it was still great!!! Great flavor! This made a lot. Next time (unless its for a party) I will try freezing half before adding the noodles, as another reviewer suggested. I made the recipe as is except for using Swanson's chicken broth instead of the water and bullion cubes. I think the veggies need doubled also, just my preference. Great winter recipe!!!!

Corn Dog Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
I made this recipe as is and it was fantastic! Will definately make again and again. I was not sure about the celery and sage but the finished product was great! It was just like a corn dog; texture, taste and all. Serving with ketchup and mustard makes it complete.

Mushroom Rice

This was really good! I didn't have fresh parsley or green onion on hand so I used dry and it still came out really good. I loved the mushroom flavor!!!! Can't wait to make it again with the fresh ingredients!!!!!!!!

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Yae! One of the bests I have tried in awhile. This tasted great and was very creamy. It was good reheated and never dried out. The only thing I would prefer to do differently, would be to bake it and add some of the cheese for a topping. Its a keeper!!!

Grandma Ruth's Stuffing

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
This was very good! The only thing I did differently was to cut back on the amount of mushrooms (half of my family do not like them). I did not stuff the turkey, but will try it next time. It had lots of great flavor!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
Yum!!! My family and I really enjoyed these. I used a can of diced tomatoes instead of chopping a can of whole tomatoes. For stuffing I used 3 green peppers and 3 red peppers.

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
My boyfriend said these were the best No Bake Cookies he has ever had, and I agree! I reduced the amount of sugar and margarine and I didn't notice a bit. The cookies were perfectly shaped and remained soft inside. I can't wait to make this recipe agian!!!

Baked Mushroom Thighs

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
This is a keeper!!! I used boneless/skinless chicken thighs and they came out sooo tender and nicely crisp on the outside. I did not have onion powder so i used garlic powder instead, next time I will use both. I served this over rice as pictured, with a side of roasted asparagus and mushrooms (a recipe also found on allrecipes.com). It was a very elegant and easy meal that tasted like i had spent hours in the kitchen!

Healthier Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
This was so good. No one could the that it was a light version. I bought meat for stew at the grocery store that was already cut up so it saved me a step. I made every thing as stated but instead of simmering meat in the pan for one hour I placed it in the slow cooker for a couple hours. I love that this is a healthier option recipe!

Cheddar Penne with Sausage and Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
Next time I will make this with hot italian sausage! It was a split vote on this recipe, I thought it was ok but my boyfriend loved it. I made it with red pepper because we prefer them over green. We both thought it would be best to try with hot italian sausage next time.

Simple BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
YUM! Country Style Pork Ribs were on sale so I picked some up to try. I have never made any type of ribs , I picked this recipe because it is very straight forward. This was made exactly how the recipe stated and I was very happy with how these turned out!!! I will definitely make this again only doubling it because there were not a lot of left overs- the ribs shrink up quite a bit with cooking. I followed another reviewer suggestion of boiling potatoes in the rib broth- It made my mashed potatoes a little too salty for my taste. I think half of the broth with some water added to it would be perfect! Great recipe to add to my binder!!!!!! Thanks!

Garlic Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
What great flavor and so simple!!! I was very hesitent about adding lemon juice but I made this recipe as is. All the flavors came together amazingly well. Perfect for a garlic lover but not over done and to garlic-ky. And as I mentioned, I made this recipe as is (I was in a hurry and failed to read prior reviews). Even though my potatoes cooked 10 minutes longer, waiting for them to brown, they were still not done!!!! The rest of my meal was complete so we ended up eating them a little tough. They were still great!!!! Next time I will par boil them! Be warned!

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2010
I totally agree with another reviewer. Baking this dish totally dries it out. It looked amazing before I put it in the oven. It was so dry, I had to mix in some milk and an entire can of mushroom soup just to eat it. It also seemed bland it was just lacking something.

Roasted Asparagus and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
I'm not a huge fan of Asparagus, but I might change my mind after this recipe! I used baby portabellas and followed the reciped almost exactly. I did add 2 chopped cloves of garlic to this because I love garlic and couldn't help myself. This was super easy to make and I loved using all the fresh ingredients and the fragrance of the rosemary. This would be an easy and healthy side to a countless number of meals. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
