Creamy Asparagus and Peas Pasta

Pretty good starter recipe. I had cooked spaghetti and cooked bacon on hand, so I crisped up the bacon, removed it, sauteed the onions, some garlic and the asparagus in the grease, added a chopped tomato, seasoned it all with salt and pepper and let it wilt. I squeezed lemon in. When the veggies were ready, I added maybe a 1/3 cup of sour cream (I didn't have any whipping cream), a 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan and the noodles, let it all warm through. Pretty darn good and quick for a weeknight.

Tina's Greek Stuffed Peppers

Delicious filling. I took some suggestions and added pine nuts. Also, instead of two chopped tomatoes, I used a can of diced tomatoes and I think it could still use some more sauce. I added some dried mint and a dash of cinnamon for more Greek flair. This does make a ridiculous amount of filling, unless your peppers are gigantic, you can fill a 1 1/2 quart casserole easily to cook alongside. I've made this with lamb and beef, lamb is tastier but the beef is pretty good too!

Ground Beef Stroganoff

I like this recipe, it's quick and easy, sure it can use some tweaks and additions. I sauteed one whole onion with two cloves of minced garlic, and a chopped green pepper before adding the beef and browning. I seasoned everything with salt and pepper. I've made this recipe with the exact ratios of spices and sauce ingredients and I've also used prepared mustard, more sour cream, less mayo. I always add some dill weed and smoked paprika.

Alfredo Sauce

Delicious! I added more garlic, some shredded mozzarella with the parmesan, and a pinch of nutmeg, tossed it with cheese tortellini, sauteed onions and ham, broccoli and peas!

Polish Meat and Potatoes

Very tasty and a good way to use up leftovers! I used italian sausage and some andouille, because we had it on hand. Also, I used leftover mashed potatoes, which made it a little more stew-like. And threw in some zucchini. Enjoy this simple supper!

Sour Cream Cucumber Salad

Love love love this recipe, reminds me of all of the great Cucumber Salads I had in Germany or at Hungarian restaurants. A few notes - the longer you let the cucumbers sit with the salt, the better; don't be shy with the salt, you can rinse it off if it's saltier than you like (I use Kosher salt); I use my mandolin to slice the cucumbers thinly and evenly, I also use regular onion and put it in with the cucumbers and the salt; and throw in some dill - fresh or dried, it really adds a nice flavor. Enjoy! I have a bumper cuke crop this summer, so this is in heavy rotation!

Strawberry Pie VI

My pie is still setting up, so I can't verify 5 stars yet, but it tasted really good going in! I am using a Oreo Cookie crust (strawberries and chocolate, come on!), I used Mixed Fruit Sugar Free Jell-O because that is what I had and I tossed my strawberries with a little bit of spoonable Splenda before I stirred them in! I needed 6 ice cubes to set up the gelatin but it came together fairly quickly.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies III

Delicious! I had enough for 30 cookies and a whole 9 x 13 pan of bars! I added a 1/2 tsp of kosher salt (because it makes everything better) and a bag of milk chocolate chips.

Spinach Garlic Soup

Excellent soup! After reading a number of recipes on this site, I settled on this recipe with a few changes. A number of people complained about the number of pots used in this recipe. I solved this by changing the order of the cooking. Melt the butter, saute the onions, garlic and carrots. Sprinkle the flour over this mixture and cook out the flour-y taste with the spices. Pour in the broth and bring to a boil. Stir in spinach (I used 6 large cups of fresh spinach). Cook this for 15-20 minutes over medium heat. Then I used yogurt, about a cup, stir this in and heat through. Then puree in batches in a blender or with an immersion blender. Sprinkled Parmesan and croutons on top, delish! Also, this is more like 6 servings or 8 appetizer servings!

Bry's Chocolate Lamb Chili

This was a great and different chili. I had a pound of ground lamb to use and wanted to do something different. I added more onion, a chopped red pepper and two large stalks of chopped celery. I only used about 2 1/2 tbsp. of chili powder, but I added a can of Rotel. I also used a mix of one can of kidney beans, and a can of black beans, both drained and rinsed. Delicious!

Garlic Prime Rib

Must agree with the other reviewers, very easy, very flavorful. I had a 7+ lb. roast, and I would probably take it out when it's at 125, 135 was a little more done than we would have liked. I had 2 teaspoons of rosemary as well!

Caramel Apple Cake

Very good, I followed some of the other recommendations, used milk instead of water, added 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and nutmeg in both the caramel and the batter. I also used about 5 total apples and did the whole thing in a 10 inch cast iron pan. Cooked 40 minutes in the oven and it was perfect! Definitely put a cookie sheet under your pan to catch the drips. Yum yum!
