Simple Whole Wheat Bread
LOVE this recipe! I have made a commitment to bake all my bread to help reduce processed foods and this one is super easy and delicious! It is very forgiving and I have used all kinds of flours. If I do use all whole wheat, I add 1 TBSP of Vital Wheat Gluten ( a powder) to the dough for each cup of wheat. This adds more protein and helps the bread rise properly. I make 2 big loaves and my kids eat it up for sandwiches, morning toast, afternoon snack, whatever! We love this bread. BONUS: the house smells great when I bake it!

Mardi Gras King Cake
This recipe was amazing! I halved it for 8 servings since we are all giving up sweets for Lent and I didn't want extra for Ash Wednesday. Used applesauce in the dough instead of butter and applesauce in the filling instead of butter too. Can't beleive how moist and delish it turned out! Used skim milk for dough and glaze, too! Granted, it's alot of sugar but almost no fat! Didn't take the time to proof the yeast, just through all the indregients for the dough in my KitchenAid with the dough hook and whala! Beautiful! Thanks so much for a keeper recipe!

Flavorful Flounder For the Oven
A great recipe for kids who may not like strong tasting fish. I followed other reviewers advice and patted the fish dry (frozen and thawed IQF flounder) and then brushed with lemon juice. Then under the broiler for 3 minutes. I mixed the parm, mayo and some italian style bread crumbs together and added the mix to the broiled fish and returned to the oven for another 3-4 min under the broiler, watching to make sure it didn't burn. Delicious! Even my non-fish eater son ate it without complaint. Thanks for a recipe I can use on other fish filets!
