About this Cook
I am a SAHM to 5 kids and married for 14 years to my wonderful husband! We homeschool all the kids, so making meals easy, fast, and tasty are important!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking most of all, but I also enjoy cooking up a yummy comfort food for dinner. I love being able to use my crockpot,so I can throw things in and forget about them until dinner time! I also enjoy different kinds of breads-quick, yeast, etc...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with my kids is the most fun and I enjoy sharing that experience with them. I look forward to the day when they are grown up and can say they remember cooking with me, and they share that with their kids :)
My cooking triumphs
FInding a yummy waffle recipe-finally! Believe it or not, that was a hard one for me and we would always go back to the frozen store bought ones. Not anymore. Also, finding good bread and roll recipes I can mix up in my bread machine! Anywhere I can find little helps to making good meals are triumphs for me!
My cooking tragedies
Oh, let's just not go here...I am getting better, but I have had many failures! Something turned out dry, another things turned out burned-oh please! Poor sad little foods :(

Best Lemonade Ever
This was simple but good :) My daughter made this for us and we enjoyed it. We didn't use as much sugar as called for because we like a tart lemonade. Next time I will either up the lemon juice, or use even less sugar. We used 1 1/4 cups this time.

Classic Waffles
Ok, after years of trying to find a good waffle recipe, I have found it!! Made some for a lunch treat for the kids and they all want to give it 5 stars-so with 5 kids, that is like 25 stars-lol! They are crspy on the outside and tender on the inside. I didn't have vanilla, so added cinnamon and they were still tasty! My waffle maker makes 4 large size waffles at once (in one big square) and I was able to refill the waffle maker 3 times, resulting in 12 nice sized waffles for us. I will double or triple this recipe and make a huge batch to put up in the freezer! Thanks!!

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins
These were really easy to whip up this morning! I replaced all the oil with applesauce, filled the muffins cups only half way and didn't use the topping (tho next time I will atleast sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before baking). I only used one small granny smith apple-if I had used two, it would have been more apples than batter. I was scared at first because the batter was really thick, but these turned out nice and fluffy and rose really well! Will make many times over, Im sure :)
