5 stars for simplicity and just as a different than usual way to make the same old green beans.

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

I've made this a few times and always get rave reviews! Very moist, very easy to make, and most important...very very delicious! I just sprinkle the top with confectioners sugar for a gorgeous cake good enough for company!

Kay's Shortbread

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2004
I just finished a batch...It is melt in your mouth delicious. I only sprinkled with 1Tbls of sugar which was just enough. I can't wait to make them as another reviewer had suggested by shredding the dough and layering with strawberry preserves.

Banana-Oatmeal Bread

I give it 5 stars as a very tasty and easy to make healthier banana bread. My favorite and Ultimate banana bread recipe is the EBNB from this site. Definitely not as healthy but worth every extra calorie!!!!!

This was the first time I've ever eaten Tilapia and I will definitely be eating it again. THis was a really easy and delicious recipe. I served it with rice pilaf and mixed veggies.

I have been making this recipe for over year now for new neighbors, get togethers or sick friends and it's always a huge hit. One of my favorite bread recipes!

Iced Tea II

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2004
I made this the other day and it is delicious! I will definitely be making this often and will probably never buy iced tea mix again. The only change I made was I used Barry's Gold Irish tea bags as it's the only tea we drink and I always have plenty on hand.

Barlow's Blackened Catfish

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2004
I made this last night and it was a huge hit with my husband who claimed he didn't like catfish when I told him that's what we were having for dinner. I did cut the cayenne, salt and pepper back to 1tsp and and used olive oil instead of butter and hubby insists that next time I make it to "not change a thing". It definitely is spicy but that's what you should expect when it is "blackened". Another recipe for the rotation!

Greek Souzoukaklia

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2004
Great for something different than the usual hamburger. will definitely add this to the regular rotation. I served it with the "Orzo and Parmesan with Basil" recipe from this site and they went very well together. While we skipped the bun we did use ketchup but would have preferred a different type of gravy or sauce to better enhance the flavors in the meat. I'm not sure what else to try but to me it definitely needs something or else it would be kind of dry. Would welcome any suggestions! Thanks allrecipes for sending this one out in the daily dish. I would never have found it otherwise!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Nothing spectacular about the flavor but a great recipe for something different. I served it with the Greek Souzoukaklia recipe on this site and both were a big hit with the hubby. will definitely be adding this one to my regular rotation of sides.

Plum Custard Kuchen

My friends mother made something similar when we were kids. Nothing will ever beat her original recipe which she made with more of a pie or tart crust but this comes pretty close so I have to give it a 5 stars.

Italian Meatball Sandwich Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2004
...I did over cook the meatballs a bit as I forgot to set the timer but It was the overall taste or lack of taste that was the problem. I forgot to add an egg to the meatball mixture which wasn't called for in the recipe but obviously should have been. Even with good meatballs I think this is just to much work for what is essentially just a meatball sandwich with ALOT of unneeded extra FAT from the cream cheese and mayonnaise. that part tasted good of course but was just too rich after a few bites and I wouldn't miss it in a good meatball wedge. I've never heard of those ingredients being added in one anyway.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2004
I had high expectations from all the great reviews but was very dissapointed. I added Cinnamon as other reviewers had suggested and baked it for at 325 for 65 minutes. It just wasn't as moist as it should have been. Maybe I could have used more bananas but I added the amount suggested. I'll keep looking for a better recipe.

Chicken Pasta Primavera

Awesome!!! I've been making this one now for awhile. It's in our regular rotation and everyone loves it! I don't find it at all spicy but I suppose if you do just use another can of regular diced tomatoes. Personally I love this just as much the second day if there even are any leftovers!

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2003
Easy and delicious! I used 4 yolks, double dipped in the breadcrumbs and baked for 45 mins. It's probably my oven but they came out a little darker than I would have liked. Next time I may lower the cooking temperature and cook a little longer. Will definitely add this one to my ever growing list of allrecipe regulars.

Get a Husband Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2003
3 stars for the version as is...I have a pot of it simmering right now and i'm a little disappointed with the texture. It's just a very mushy thick texture and not chunky. It tastes great and I will definitely make it again but i'm already planning to cut back on the ground meat to 1lb of each pork and beef and adding a few diced potatoes. I will also replace 1 can of the creamed corn with one can of regular corn for more "chunk" and I will not shred the chicken as much as I did before I added it since it shreds more as it cooks. I think with these revisions it would be awesome as the flavor is definitely there already.
