Fried Cabbage and Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
I have been trying to cook interesting meals for vegetarian sister for years. Who knew something as simple as noodles, cabbage, and butter would be her favorite! She constantly asks me to make this for her. Thanks for making her (and me!) happy!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
I am generally not a fan of non-chocolate cookies. So when a friend asked for Macadamia Nut cookies, I was at a loss! I am so glad I found this recipe! I substituted half the butter with butter flavored Crisco like another rater had suggested and they turned out absolutely perfect. Soft, buttery, and delicious. I will definitely make these again!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
DELICIOUS. I rubbed the cut of meat with salt, pepper, garlic, and Italian seasoning and then seared each side. I then placed half of the gravy mixture in the slow cooker, placed the meat, then poured the rest of the gravy over top. This recipe makes a LOT of gravy, but I must say it is absolutely delicious. Also makes delicious sandwiches the next day! Thanks for the recipe! (:

Whole Wheat Pumpkin-Applesauce Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
These muffins are DELICIOUS! I used homestyle chunky applesauce, and left the raisins out. The muffins came out moist and yummy and I will definitely be using this recipe again. Thanks!

Strawberry Romaine Salad I

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
I made this for Mother's Day, and let's just say I could've simply made this for my mom and not even gotten her a gift. She LOVED it, and it was perfect for a crowd. The dressing got rave reviews, however it was a bit sweet for my taste, and I may add just a touch less sugar next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
This was so yummy! I didn't add the carrots (simply because I didn't have any on hand) but added more peas. I also threw in some finely chopped onion and a couple of cloves of minced garlic when i was stir frying the peas and it added some good flavor. I got rave reviews from my Dad who asked when I would be making it again. Thanks for the recipe!

Orange Spiced Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2010
Delicious! I loved that the carrots still had texture and weren't mushy, and that the sauce was not overly sweet. I paired this with mashed potatoes and ranch chicken fingers and everyone loved it! Great recipe!

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
I was a bit concerned making my corned beef in the slow cooker, since I always braise it in the oven. However, I thought it was delicious. Even my Irish father who is very old fashioned in his taste for corned beef loved it. The meat was more solid than when you braise it, and the flavor was perfect. The only thing I did differently was to cook the carrots and cabbage in a separate pot right before dinner. I just boiled them together in salted water, drained them, and covered them in the cooking water from the crockpot. You couldn't tell the difference. Thank your, I will use this recipe often.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
I followed the other raters instructions to add a whole cup of milk, but I still found these muffins extremely dry. The flavor was good, but I think I would maybe use whole milk next time and add a teaspoon of vanilla.

Baked Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
This was a great recipe. It's an easy change from the ordinary baked chicken, and the subtle lemon garlic flavor makes it easy to pair with any side dish. The only thing I would change would be to bake it a little longer; I needed to add an additional 10 minutes to get the crust crunchy and the chicken up to temperature. Thanks for the recipe!

Easy Salsa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
This was delicious! I followed other raters' tips and baked it at 375 for 45 minutes, and it came out perfectly. I was nervous about serving meatloaf without a sauce on top, but the flavors are so good, it wasn't missed by anyone! I will definitely make this again. Thanks for the recipe!
