Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
So good! I followed the recipe ingredients exactly, except that I only had 1 pound of ground turkey on hand. I mixed all the ingredients together, added the turkey and refrigerated it for 3 hours. I cooked it over very low heat as others had suggested for an indoor grill pan, and covered it with tin foil after flipping the burgers to make sure they were cooked through. I didn't find the burgers to be too salty at all, and everyone loved them! I will make this again and again.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
This was absolutely delicious. Instead of using garlic powder, I minced a large clove of garlic and added that in to cook about a minute before I drained the fat off of the meat and veggies. I also did not have enough ketchup.. only a half cup.. so I substituted the last 1/4 cup with a good squirt (probably about 2oz) of tomato paste and a splash of water. I think it gave it a deeper flavor. This recipe will be used over and over in my house!

Easy Grilled Chicken Teriyaki

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This took way longer to cook than the recipe called for. I also thought that there wasn't that much flavor once the chicken was grilled.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This is so good! It makes sooo much meat, but left overs are a breeze! I place the meat in muffin tins in the freezer until they harden, and then pull them out, wrap them in parchment, and stick them back in the freezer. All you have to do is pop one in the microwave to defrost on a busy weeknight. Thanks for the recipe!

Cranberry Hootycreeks

I love these cookies and make them every year for my cookie trays. This recipe makes quite a few cookies if you make them small. Love it.

Yum, yum, YUM! I love this recipe! I always use all fat free ingredients and you cannot tell the difference. Whenever I bring this to a party, it disappears veryyyy quickly!

Turkey Sausage Breakfast

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This was a good dish. I agree with other reviewers that it only needed 50 minutes at 350. I only gave it 4 stars, however, I feel with a few additions it would be a 5 star recipe. I think that it needs at least 5 eggs, and next time I would add some mushrooms, and maybe use frozen hash browns O'Brien for some additional flavors and color, as well as salt and pepper. The dish smelled absolutely AMAZING when it was cooking and my sister loved it. Will make again.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
This icing worked out awesome! However, I only gave it four stars because I think the amounts of ingredients is a little off, and the recipe made virtually no icing. (I had to make 5 batches just to cover my cookies) I had to add way more milk and corn syrup than the recipe called for just to be able to blend the ingredients together. The end product after the tweaking though, was outstanding. This will be my go to sugar cookie icing from now on.

Chunky Cheesecake Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
DELICIOUS!!! I made these for a party and let's just say that as soon as I brought them out, they were all gone. Everyone raved about them! And the best part is, they are SO EASY! I used an 11x7 glass pan and baked them at the recommended temperature, but cut off about 5 minutes. They were gooey, chocolately and delicious. I will definitely be making these again!

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
I thought this was great! I followed the recipe to a "T", except I cut back a little on the chili powder since my father doesn't really dig spicy food. I also think that you could do without the oil in the beginning; I think it just adds unnecessary fat to the dish. I turned the roast about halfway through cooking to ensure that it all got simmered in the yummy sauce and served them on buttered, toasted potato slider rolls. Soooo good!!!

Black Beans and Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
I thought this meal was delicious! I make something very similar with chicken thighs in the slow cooker, but it never dawned on me to use it with pork! For everyone who is concerned about the sodium content, they do sell low-sodium beans (which I used) or you can cook your own in the slow cooker. Also, be sure to cut the cooking time if you are using boneless chops, or they will come out quite dry. I served this with Spanish Yellow Rice and my pops thought he was in heaven. Thanks for the recipe!

Cream of Broccoli Soup IV

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
I felt that this soup was a bit on the runny side. I also think that next time, I would either roast or saute the garlic before adding it.. the end product was way to garlicky for my tastes. But I love how healthy the recipe is.

Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
Yum yum YUM! The jalapenos at the store didn't look great, so I used Italian Long Hots instead. I kept them whole, but sliced them down one side and stuffed them that way. Everyone loved them!

Country Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
Absolutely delicious! I didn't have any lemon extract on hand, so I used a teaspoon of lemon zest instead. It came out great! I agree with other reviewers that it didn't take a full 80 minutes to bake. Thankfully I checked it at around 70 and it was perfect.. brown crunchy crust and moist on the inside. Will definitely make this again!

Butter Snow Flakes

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
I love these cookies. The orange and cinnamon really make these stand apart from the ordinary flavorless spritz cookies you usually get around the holidays. The only suggestion I would make is to make these right before you plan on giving them out. I made them a week a head of time and they had turned somewhat soft. Otherwise, these are great.

Saucy PHILLY Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
I thought this was a decent meal. I chose it simply because I wanted something different and I happened to have all the ingredients on hand. I think it is a good option if you have to whip something up in a hurry! I will probably make this again on a busy night.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
So delicious! The only thing I would recommend is that when you go to fold the whipped cream in, use a whisk. I had a difficult time blending the thick cream cheese mixture in with the whipped cream, but once I used a whisk it blended right in! This recipe gives you the taste of cream cheese frosting, without the heavy texture. AWESOME!
