Amish White Bread
Love this recipe. I've tried various recipes from this site over the years but this is the one I keep coming back to. In fact, I printed it out and keep it taped to my cabinet. :) I've tried it as written and with less sugar, both ways are delicious. I have also turned it into a cinnamon swirl bread (roll out the dough, and add some cinnamon and a little brown sugar) rolled it up and finished it off just like a regular loaf. The kids loved that one! This bread is great because it slices really well (when you are patient enough to let it cool first anyway) :) , which means it can be used to make pb&j for the kids. Great recipe!

Hot Cocoa Mix
I was looking for a recipe to replace the Swiss Miss packets that I had been buying. As written the recipe is good, but don't expect it to taste like a boxed store bought hot chocolate. To really make it delicious I added a handful of marshmallows to each cup... yum! Now, I know hot chocolate and marshmallows just kinda of go together, but I never really noticed a difference when I put mm in my swiss miss hot choc. In THIS one the whole drink becomes creamy and just amazing. Worth a try if you are looking for a great homemade recipe.

Easy Orange Cream Slush
My kids didn't care for this but I don't know why - it was delicious! I used a fresh orange and put it through the blender first and then added the other ingredients. 1 medium size orange yielded just a bit under 1 cup. I just added water to bring it to the 1 cup mark (I doubled the recipe). I've made this twice so far and thought it was great both times. I'm on my way into the kitchen right now to make it again. I think fresh oranges are going to be a staple in my kitchen this summer. :) UPDATE: I now make this every day. This recipe is a great base for other smoothies. My kids LOVE this when I replace the ice cubes with frozen strawberries. Currently I am sipping this recipe with the addition of some fresh spinach. Delicious!
